Hello, I am wanting to put a set of 22s on my new regular cab. The goal is to eventually lower the truck. I was wondering if I could run a 285/40R22 or 305/40R22 without rubbing. The wheels I am looking for are 22x9.5 with 25mm offset and 6.2" backspacing. Thanks for the help.

Hello,

There aren't really any options in a 285/40R22, and the 305/40R22 is really to wide for the 9.5" wheel.

I might recommend a 275/50R22 or 285/50R22. Both will be a tad shorter so, depending on how low you go, they should tuck nicely.

Thanks I was looking at the nitto 420V main thing I was concerned about is rubbing on the rear shock or during full steering lock. With going with a taller tire will I have to have the computer reset for the tire size or will the truck do it automatically?

I'll have to get back with you on that. Not quite ready to order yet. Thanks.
