Hey all. I found the part at my local dealership that the OP was looking for and installed it on my Lariat 5.0. Special thanks to @alkoser for the trim removal writeup above!

In my opinion, without an intercooler, that big space in the bumper looks unfinished.

Part number: ML3Z-17B968-AB (Tasca Parts)
Considering your 5.0 doesnt have an intercooler, it's odd that it comes with that open trim panel from the factory. Doesn't look right. Almost seems like a mistake. Do you have a block heater?

I do indeed have a block heater which I imagine is why that gap was there. I still think it could have been a little more elegantly done though. The truck was built in Dearborn and lived its first 5 months in Canada so I'm sure the block heater was necessary. Eventually making its way down here to FL, I bought it a week ago and am absolutely loving it. Huge upgrade from my 2006 Frontier. Needless to say, I won't be needing that block heater.

So I finally installed a front hitch this weekend and took some pics of the lower center panel removal:

First thing I did was pry the two side panels off gently. They just need a flat screwdriver to get them started.

(FYI The lower center panel is attached to the bottom trim panel so you need to remove this assembly together in order to detach the lower center panel.)

Then I crawled under the front to access the remaining clips holding the panels in place:

First, I removed 4 white clips directly behind the center and bottom trim panels

Then I loosened the bolts directly above the tow hooks. There is one on each side. These bolts hold the bottom trim panel in place:

I was then able to pry off the lower center and bottom trim panel from the bumper in one piece, being careful not to break any plastic or retaining clips. Once the assembly is off, you can detach the lower center panel from the bottom trim panel easily using a flathead screwdriver.

Hope this helps.
"Hope this helps" . LOL! Thank you so much. The only thing you could do to make your help any more complete would be to do the job for me...
