not getting in the way of what others think or claim.
most people i know buy intakes for the sound first, and performance second.
ive seen the claims for years...OEM is better... punch holes in your factory airbox and its even BETTER... K&N are top notch... intakes do nothing on turbo cars/trucks anyway b/c that air goes through a hot turbo negating any gains... intakes in engine bays are pointless b/c its hot air not cold outside air... it goes on and on.
i popped a drop in filter in mine i had from my 2020. i mean, i can hear a little more noise from the K&N drop in over stock but BARELY! do i get better performance? no idea. do i get better gas mileage? i think it went down a tad haha
point is, who cares. there are numerous kits out there. me personally? i like the AFE intakes. they just had a 20% off sale too. just not in the market right now. why would i buy it? bc i want to hear more sounds. could care less about power gains.
best mod i hear for the "intake" system is a better intercooler
