Hi all. Ran across a problem with my GatorTrax this weekend. Covered worked perfectly normally on Saturday. Went to open it on Sunday and the cover was making a really bad grinding noise and sticking when I tried to close it. Left it closed and went to investigate just now.
It looks like the passenger side of the canister had something break and is hanging low. There is a ramp that allows the slats to go smoothly from the cannister to the rails but now that ramp is too low so the slats stick on the rail. I was able to push up on the cannister and operate the cover smoothly (minus a few damaged slats from where it stuck and a little noise). I wedged a carboard box under the cannister to lift it back into place and that seems to solve the issue (temporarily).
Before I go taking the whole cover and rails off has anyone run into this before? Does anyone know what might have caused this or have a quick fix for this?
