I opted to go with the Nitto Recon Grappler A/T 295/70/R18 116S SL BSW. They only weigh 53 pounds. I was hesitant to go with an SL tire but after speaking to a tire guy he said I would be okay. I hope so

Can I have a 1 month update on the Recon Grapplers? Especially interested in how the perform in wet conditions!

It’s only rained once up here on South Texas. Luckily I was driving on I-35 heading home driving 70 to 75. To me they handled well driving on Normal mode. That’s about the only rain so far.

Yeah I’m getting shitty. Thinking about getting rid of it. I thought at the best minimum. I’d at least hit 20. This thing is worse than a regular V-8

Dude. You are both overreacting and getting some very poor advice.

tires are rated for load carrying, not towed trailer weights. SL tires do not have a “1000 lbs each” tow rating. You also do not need tires rated for 10,000 lbs just to tow a trailer.
if you want fuel economy, drop to an LT tire. Load range E is pretty overkill for an f150. Sure, they might be a little more stable while towing. But a regular tire will also tow fine.

Get the lightest 275/70/18 you can find (ideally 51 psi max pressure and not 44), keep your highway speed under 75, and you’ll see much better mpg.
