Well, I finally got an update on my 2021 Powerboast!!!
24-PU0223-VI-RBS was installed today.
The funniest thing is that it was parked in an UNDERGROUND garage with an active low 12v battery voltage warning!!!! Supposedly the absolute worst conditions for getting an update.
That’s Ford logic...
I’ve driven the salt flats a few too many times. :-) I’ll definitely try dropping down to Hwy 50. I’ve taken 50 from Sacramento to Southern Lake Take but never further East.
Thanks!
Two years ago I did the east side of the Sierra down to Death Valley, then out through AZ, NM (White Sands, Roswell, etc), into Dallas then up to Nashville.
Last year came across Utah (Moab & Arches), through Denver, etc.
Didn't hit the Million Dollar Highway though... that might be a winner...
I forgot about Grand Tetons NP... I might have to try to fit that in... or maybe on the way back!
I was just talking to a co-worker about the Experimental Breeder Reactor and Craters of the Moon NP... so they now have another vote. :-) I always take I-80 between SLC and Tahoe... if it doesn't...
Yeah... I know I'll miss a lot, but it's all I can really take off from work. I'll take 5-7 days to drive out to Tahoe and then about the same coming back 2 weeks later. I usually take different routes, I haven't figured which way I'll go when I head back East.
This is ALL great advice and is going to really make my trip!
I have been thinking that Rushmore might just be nice... from a distance. :-) I didn't think there was much to see at the Crazy Horse Memorial yet (just the face). I'll definitely keep Ten Sleep in mind, sounds great!
FYI... I am...
I am heading out on a road trip from Nashville to Lake Tahoe this summer. I am thinking of taking the Northern route up through South Dakota and Montanna before dropping down to Tahoe. I am planning on 5 days for the drive, but could possibly stretch it into 7 if needed. Of course, there is...
I scraped the right rear wheel arch panel on Saturday leaving some nice bright green paint embedded in the side of my Oxford white truck. I don't see any deformations in the metal, so I am hoping that it will "just buff right out"... but I need an honest body shop to tell me that. A typical...
Yeah... eventually I am sure I'll start getting updates every other day... just enough to get me ALMOST current... then they will stop again.
Like I said ... it's just another rant from a frustrated owner.
I know I have lots of company.
I know that I am not the only one, and I know that I am "preaching to the choir" ... but this is nuts.
I haven't gotten an update on my 2021 Powerboost since May 9th of last year when I got 4.2.4!
I thought that it was because I don't drive it a lot and the battery level was too low, but I...
Wow... I rarely get over 20 mpg! Is your truck leveled? I am running with Nitto Ridge Grapplers (285/65R20) so they are heavy (61 lbs each)... I am convinced that's what killing my MPG.
I am jealous of you folks who are getting OTAs. I had a brief period way back in '22 when they were coming in pretty frequently, but now... not so much.
I've been stuck on 4.2.4 since May 9, 2023. :-(
That's odd... because, if I am understanding you correctly, this is my normal setup and I never lose my audio source after a turn prompt.
My typical mode:
- XM Radio for Music (on small card to the right of the display... NOT THE APP)
- Apple CarPlay, w/ Apple Maps, on large display or full...
I turned mine up to 100% and got LOTS of complaints from friends if I was following them. I turned them back down to just a little above factory default and it seems to be a happy medium.
I use the third setting for adjusting my mirrors down when backing up or parallel parking (the seating position stays the same, the mirrors just tilt down).
Since Ford doesn't do that automagically when you put it in reverse.
Yeah… I’ve imported so many dashboards that it thinks I have a 2021 Powerboost, a 2022 truck and a 2016 Mazda!
I think you’re right… time to “nuke and pave “!
That's the thing... If I set it up as a 2021 (which it is), the dashboards didn't import right (lots of Speed panels replacing the ones that were supposed to be there). But, I said mine was a 2022 and they all imported correctly, but now the PIDs aren't getting picked up.
I am going to look at...
