I expected around 30% range loss in winter. I have a Mach e, no heat pump just like the lightning. Around zero degrees, expect 50 percent loss and 60 percent at -10 to -20. Your 230 mile lightning will have 115 miles of range at these temperatures.
I would really like to know how big if any allocation has an effect. I'm #2, but didn't order until June. So, if they get 2 allocations I'm in, but if it's timestamp only I'm waiting.
I also recently switched. I found a dealer that had 4 reservations but 3 canceled so they only had one! I'm #2 at worst. When I called Ford the rep thought I would have no problem getting a 22.
Is Ford using the same 5000w heater as the mach e? Anyone know what they are using since the pro does not have heated seats or wheel? Us folks up north are curious!
Well, it's such a small dealer the owner is the salesman too. I think he was very straightforward cordial, and well educated on the lighting. I'll roll the dice instead of going with a larger dealer.
My dealer emailed all lightning reservation holders and told them to make an appointment to come in and order. Says it's being handled like the maverick and ford says to get the orders in the system. What happened to ordering in waves?
It's tough. I know it's based off allocation and the big dealer will get more units. But the smaller dealer that caters to rural farmers I just don't see them getting many reservations. Thinking my odds might be better there. Both have said they are selling at msrp.
