  1. Stupid fiberboard windage tray

The new one's from 2023 and on don't have them. We also don't have locks for the spare tire ...
  2. Best Way To Protect My New F-150 Paint?

I go to a car wash supply shop by me and get great advice about washing stuff ... I use their ceramic spray myself, cheap and easy lasts about 3 months or more and takes about 45 minutes after a good wash. Looks great and is so easy to maintain.
  3. Interstate VS Duracell?

I sell Deka who make the Duracell battery - first the Duracell are made in US (Penn), they have a good reputation and are well made. Interstate are made in Mexico (and by the way are probably equal in quality to Deka), so I cannot rip them just for that ... If you like green colored batteries...
  4. 2022 Powerboost - Key FOB Battery dying in days...

Either a stuck button, but most likely a bad batch of batteries ... suggest buying another pack at a battery store or somewhere where they change a lot of them. Amazon and others can get/sell older stock ... it happens often.
  5. Riveted Fender Flares - Yes or No

Will hurt resale value ... plus looks kind of dorky in my view ... but we live a in free country! At least you didn't ask where to by those 6" wheel spacers and ridiculous tire/wheel combinations ... or best way to squat my rear end! Again, we live free to do what we want ...
  6. lithium batteries..

I am speaking specifically about a starting lithium battery for a truck like ours. For RV deep cycle and golf carts, etc. they are some good ones out there. But a replacement for an SLI AGM battery - there are not good options out there and the one's I have sold do not work very well (at all).
  7. lithium batteries..

Don't do it ... there is not currently a good lithium battery for starting (SLI), deep cycle for RVs is easy if your entire system is built for lithium. Our trucks are designed for AGM - are charged properly, etc. Read other posts here about battery problems - AGM - lithium would even worse.
  8. Swapping in 3.55 or 3.31 Gears into a 4WD

I have 3.31 FX4 on a 2023 EB3.5 ... I drive a about 60% freeway and average 19 to 21/22 ... rarely over 75mph. In Socal, so we have lots of hills and some mountains too. Even with the wind behind me and resetting the computer it would be hard for me to get 26. As mentioned, speed is a key...
  9. Wind noise on front doors at head level

Ok, problem solved. Was able to video the sound and area where noise emanated ... Dealer replicated the problem, found TSB 22-2349. $12 part created for TSB will hold down an errant cable near the sunroof that flaps around when roof is open and when certain combination of windows being open at...
  10. Consumer Reports and PB

Yes, in that the PB has a motor in the front - that motor starts the engine and also acts like a generator in regeneration - that is my understanding. The dealer told me if I were to buy one from him and have it installed without warranty he would charge me $12,500.
  11. TFL Truck: The Problem with Lifted Trucks That NOBODY Is Talking About...

I agree! Way too long and just a bunch of repeat babble ... and I really cannot stand that bald fat guy (cannot remember his name) - he's a complete dumb a$$.
  12. Consumer Reports and PB

My 2021 PB was great until 83K miles - then all hell broke loose with the transmission. Four times to get it right, finally had to completely replace the whole unit. Was in the shop over 30 days ... I traded it for an 2023 ICE version. So for me - CR is accurate on this one.
  13. Would you buy a truck that was a lemon and resold by Ford?

SAME issue here w/ a 2021 model w/ 83K miles. BUT my dealer was super and coordinated everything for me ... in a 2023 EB Lariat now w/ 40K miles and NO issues (except some wind noise, but that should be fixed this week).
  14. Would you buy a truck that was a lemon and resold by Ford?

I turned in my 2021 PB Lariat due to lemon law - reason was the transmission high pressure pump controller had to be replaced twice, the transmission was rebuilt completly once and finally they put in a new transmission. My truck had 83K miles, I really enjoyed it, BUT was very concerned about...
  15. 2024 Lariat at Dealer (Agate Black)

1976 called, they want their chrome back!
  16. Wind noise on front doors at head level

Does anyone have a wind noise - appears to be where the front door (both sides) meets the door jam at about head level. Sometimes it is just a slight wind noise, other times when a window is open it is a floppy rattle sounding noise - especially bad at 55+. Really pronounced when the sun roof...
  17. Thoughts on cat backs. Sound over function? Any before and after dynos?

Something to getting a bit older and hopefully somewhat wiser too ... enjoying the smooth power and quiet highway drive. I laugh at the older Dodge diesels and some of the newer Toyota tacomas with super loud exhaust (diesel) and the drone buzzing sound of a resonator deleted from Toyota ... I...
  18. Question, To lend my truck or not

Well, one of my nephews is a yes, the other is a no ... I would lend it to the "yes" without a problem. He's a good kid, he's kind and trying so hard to get to the next level in life (he's about 21 now). There are some great points here as well ... Basically, the conversation would be like...
  19. Any good experiences from PowerBoost owners

I had a 2021 PB - drove it to about 83,000 miles before the transmission started having problems with a high pressure pump sensor. Was replaced several times before Ford agreed to put in a completely new transmission. Dealer was really great, but the process of going back over and over - then...
  20. Any good experiences from PowerBoost owners

He is talking about his PB.
