So I originally had stock coils with a 2" spacer.
I Ordered the foxes from Stage 3, they were supposed to come preset to 2", but that were actually on the shortest setting (stock-ish).
The installer didn't call me before installing them, so he just swapped out the stock ones with the foxes, and...
I had this same noise. They were great, then I towed a little heavier than I should've, and started hearing the noise. From a visual perspective, looked like they were busted, as I could see black hydraulic fluid on the piston shaft. I replaced them with bilsteins and the noise is gone. The...
I just don't understand why dealers stock their lots with Chrome or BAP packages. Well...from their perspective I do, but I hate the lack of options across all trim levels. Not to mention the premium for said packages.
They should have 4x4 XLT SCREWs on the lot for around 50k or less, and 4x4...
Agreed! Although some people like the BAP, and some people like chrome door handles and such, there seem to be less and less "normal" trucks year after year. Normal meaning color matched handles, mirrors, and non bap/chrome wheels.
I personally think the normal body color accents make for a...

Houston, TX. Mine ASS (love the acronym) only comes on during the winter months. More specifically 50-65 degrees outside.
I wonder if it's related to the ability to keep cabin temp steady. Hot outside, motor needs to be on to keep AC cool. Vice versa.
'96 K1500 Burb. Think it weighs 6-7k, trailer is 2k. Front steel bumper is probably 300 or so.
Ecoboost has plenty of power, but the stock rear suspension struggles. Little sketchy on the highway.
If in fact OP and myself are experiencing the same thing, LT tires shouldn't be the problem. They're definitely firmer, no doubt about that.
My past (3) F150's have had multiple sets of the current tires i'm running now (295 70r18 Nitto Ridges). Steering wheel has always held straight, then...
Hey guys, as you can see in the picture, my half of passenger DRL is very dim, the top portion is operating as normal.
Any ideas?
60k miles, just started doing this, no water damage to be clear.
I just installed the Fox 2.0 coilovers, they came with 0" of lift out of the box (stock height) from Stage 3. I paired them with my existing 2" ready lift. The ride is just as plush as stock, but ramps up nicely on sharps bumps and large "whoops" on pavement.
They handle very well on washboard...
Thanks, here's what I've been able to gather:
- They are extremely light for a full replacement, think the net weight added to the front after removing the factory bumper is close to or under 100lbs.
- The slight weight increase is just enough to keep the front wheels planted on the ground...
Tried to find an identical before picture, best I could find. Measured the drop, brought the front down about 1/2". 2" ready lift, 295 70r18 nittos.
FYI (for the car detailers out there) I did not clean my truck with a broom at the pay and spray...was just cleaning out the bed.
