Yeah, I've brought mine in for the noise and had the fluid level checked and it was full. So it seems there may be another issue that some of us are having that's not related to fluid level.
Yep that’s how mine has been acting. It also goes away immediately when I put the truck in drive. Seems repeatable and well documented so hopefully Ford’s working on a fix.
Sorry, just got a big kick out of the statement saying you moved to Florida to escape the "tyranny" of the North only to have to live in a place where you submit your dog's DNA for poop patrol and can't drive the truck you want. "Out of the frying pan and into the fire" I guess.
Love my...
Get the TSB performed for the harsh 1-3 upshift. Made a world of difference on mine and I wouldn't say I had any issues with how it was shifting before.
I'm in Fort Collins and my overall average is around 22mpg city/highway/towing. Trip to Steamboat this spring w/o my camper averaged ~26mpg for the week (there/back, around town for a week). Towing I get 10-12mpg which is about what I got with my 2017 3.5EB. As others have said, that ~40mph...
Did they derate by 2% for every 1000 feet of elevation like the manual states? My guess is they were over the limit at that altitude with a 10k pound trailer.
I do the exact same thing. Considering I use maybe a tank every two months and do occasionally tow a camper it's not terribly expensive to just run premium all the time.
I ran my camper AC all weekend off the truck. Used this adapter - no issues at all!

Hah, just had this exact same issue. I was really worried something was wrong with the drivetrain! Guess I need to remember Occam's Razor...
I had rubber roller I used to really push it back down (up?) onto the body. Hopefully it will stay stuck from now on.
Pulled my ~4k pound camper trailer approximately 300 miles round trip this weekend. Got about the same mpg as my 2017 3.5EB - 10-11mpg. But I was able to use my camper's a/c at the campsite which was really nice. If the mpg goes up as my mileage does (I'm at ~1400 miles currently) I'll be...
Welp, I think I found the issue. This heat shield (circled in red) has come unstuck from the body and was rubbing on the driveshaft. Any recommendations for an adhesive tape to apply until I can get it back to the dealer?
Just got back from a weekend camping trip. Everything went great (truck pulled three camper very nicely, the onboard power was a lifesaver when temps were near 100 to run the camper AC). However, when leaving the campground I noticed a new drivetrain noise. There's a rhythmic clunking (imagine...
I haven't seen anything yet (and a VIN search on the Ford.com website doesn't show anything either). My build date falls into this range so perhaps it's VIN-specific?
Yep. Curious if this is normal or not. One of the big benefits to the onboard power is a lack of noise compared to a generator. But having to listen to the angry bees all night while camping would not be ideal.
Hello from Colorado! My 2021 Powerboost got delivered on Friday! So far my wife's driven it more than me but so far I love it. Traded in my 2017 3.5EB on it.
Selling the stock rubber tray liners from my 2017 as my new one came with them from the factory. I'm in Northern Colorado and I imagine these are pricey to ship. $100
