I believe you get 3 calendar days regardless of when you start. So if you purchase at 12:01 AM tonight you would get all day Friday through Sunday night at 11:59 PM. I don't recall which time zone they use but I suspect it's ET...
It took every bit of a full weekend. Jesse had hooked me up with a couple of USB updates prior to the FDRS/Mongoose, and then it was 2 days in and out of the truck in the driveway with the tender on. The first updates took forever and really thought 2 days wasn't going to be enough time...
Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but manifest.der is at the root of the usb drive. The rest of the files on in a subdirectory named FordSoftwareUpdates.
Add me to the list of folks getting of 4 updates in 11 days on a '21. Pretty crazy for a nearly 3 yr old truck. I hope after folks get caught up this is something more like a few times a year.
2021 PB Lariat, purchased Nov 2023
11/11/23 Manually updated 11/11/23 with Mongoose and FDRS. Never...
‘21 PB, job 1. I bought used in November ‘23 and manually updated with Mongoose and FDRS until there were no more updates available. Based on what folks here have said that was the first updates this truck ever received. Yesterday, out of the blue, I got the 6.3 OTA update while on a short 6...
Woah! Screen rebooted while on a random grocery store run yesterday and boom, now I'm at 6.3. To my knowledge that's the first OTA this vehicle has ever received. Now I know it works and the long-suffering wait to maybe one day catch up to current :)
Regardless of whether you upgrade to the 7.2kW or not, I would ask the electrician to install a 30A inlet at a minimum. You might even ask about 50A as well. Either would be a significant upgrade from 20A and be much more future proof should you ever upgrade, buy a standalone genset, etc.
Been researching this a bit and fully agree. I contacted Generac support today and was told there is no replacement for the 6297 SNK though so we might be out of luck. And it appears all the inventory has pretty much run out.
If I can't find the 6297, I may just go with the 50 A version 6335...
I have the same issue as well on the '21 PB. What's the consensus on what tramsission fluid to run in these, the original Motorcraft or something else?
Yeah, figured that from what I've read. I really just want to know that OTA actually works on this new-to-me '21 more than anything... although all the vehicle ECUs / electronics are one of the primary reasons I absolutely bought the extended warranty so I guess not something I should be worried...
So far the answer is nope... nothing doing after 2 weeks 🙁. Guess I should check the battery voltage level to make sure it's not below the threshold. Any other things I should look into?
This is wild. I'm just outside of Austin, which is expensive for Texas. Changed to my dealer growing up that's 300 miles away and it was $50 cheaper but still with free shipping. Nice tip :).
