Hey everyone, I'm trying to install my Bilstein 5100 struts on my 2021 F150 4x4 with 5.0L. I got all the way to the sway bar end link and could not free it from the sway bar for anything. I only had my front passenger side jacked up on a jackstand, while the other 3 wheels were on the ground. Is...
That's all it really comes down to. If you dont want to do it then please just say that instead of lying to me LOL. Just wanted to make sure i had all of my ducks in a row. I asked them to show me what they are seeing.
Would anyone be able to check my VIN inside of FDRS when they have some time? 1FTFW1E50MKD00781
I've taken my truck to the dealer for them to try to figure out my broken OTA updates. They told me they didn't see anything wrong, that it was up to date. I took it back in a second time when a...
Yes Sir. I ordered everything from Bruce, including the kicker key. I see they're sold out most places but Bruce had some as of 2-3 weeks ago. I hear the guy from "plugandplay" harnesses has them too, not sure. I think his name is "Joe"? maybe.
Bruce's email address is [email protected]
Bruce is the owner of Hush Car Audio. He is a forum sponsor on some of the other forums and has done alot of business with the f150 guys. He seemed to have a tried and true system for these trucks, so i gave him a call and we talked about what i wanted out of the system.
There is a pre-made...
The tuners that have been released on the market so far, Livernois, SCT... require the plug-in underhood type tuning.
It sounds like HPT has figured out how to tune via OBD2 again, (tradional method). Sounds like you will first need to send them your pcm in order to do so though.
I've used SCT...
I dont see why you couldn't. What year/trim truck do you have? Maybe yours is different than mine and offers more space behind the radio? I have an XLT with the 12" screen and the space was minimal. If i were to do it all again i would ask Bruce to configure my harness for the rear of the truck...
I appreciate it! Would've loved for it to workout behind the radio, out of sight, just couldnt fight the space for it. If i had to do it all again i'd definitely send it behind the rear seat.
So i was wondering about this too. From what i can see during my testing, I ran it wide open, maxed out about 30 minutes. It got really warm, but not hot.
after tuning i backed it down a whole lot, took alot of the bass out, set the gains and backed off. I believe there's more air flow in this...
I love doing audio in general. Honestly when doing my truck i found myself mentally exhausted. A job that should've taken what 3-5 hours took me almost two weeks because i'm so OCD. It wasnt a great experience. The reward is great though.
Weight wise, it feels very lightweight. It was cheap and very easy to work with. I feel like it helped tremendously with the road/wind noise just driving down the interstate. I figured for $50 i'd give it a try, not disappointed lol.
Hey everyone. I searched this particular forum a good bit when considering upgrading audio but didn't find this exact setup so I figured I'd share to help anyone who was interested. I wanted to upgrade my door speakers and add a small 4 channel amp. I've got a 2021 F150 with a base 7 speaker...
I just added a Kicker Key 200.4 to my truck and have been thinking of adding the block off plates. Would it be a good idea to turn my EQ to flat in Forscan for my Kicker to utilize the DSP? Or is this not needed? 2021 F150 Non B&0 12" screen 7 speaker system. Thank you.
Bruce with HushCarAudio also makes a plug and play harness. I just got through ordering a bunch of equipment from him. He will taylor your harness how you want it. For instance, i asked him to include provisioning for subs later down the road so he tied that in for me.
He has a great reputation...
