Just installed the wheels. These are fairly new from Method so I have yet to see anyone running them. Went with the machined silver and love the way they look.
20x9 +18 with 275/55/20 Nitto Recon Grapplers.
I have 275/65/18 SL Grabbers on my factory wheels and love them. They barely took any weight and the truck feels stable.
I also have Recon Grapplers on my RTR wheels. I had one tire that was out of round that took 14 weeks to replace using simple tire, and the new tire is in the red after road...
I have the exact same problem leaving my in-laws street and it will only act up in this location. I manually shift the trans until I get out of the neighborhood. Everywhere else is fine and I have 13K miles on my 21.
Yes its still a Livernois tune and they have been great to work with. You can certainly work with them on what you would like to see out of a tune and shift strategies.
I ended up recently switching to a less aggressive performance tune with factory line pressure. This is by far the best shifting I've had since tuning the truck with the 1-4 gear changes.
My truck sits in the garage, sometimes for weeks on end. Its not my daily so it took me a while to put some miles on it after resetting everything. After about 1000 miles the trans started to really smooth out. I hope it all works out for you.
So did you go back to the factory shift strategies or keep it the same? My 1st through 4th still jumps a little under normal driving conditions but 5th through 10th are butter smooth. After I reset the KAM it was noticeably better.
I haven't noticed a drastic change in MPG but I also baby my truck. I average around 20mpg but I also have a 1.5" level, A/T 32" tires and removed the active air dam.
IMO the tune was well worth it with the new shift strategies and cylinder deactivation deleted.
No its never had hard shifts. the lower gear shifts were a little too firm at first, but once they softened the shift pressure its just where I want it.
I used Livernois in my 5.0 and they have been great to work with. I had to adjust the line pressure in the tranny to get the shifts where I wanted them and communication was great.
Just installed some 18x9 RTR EVO 6 wheels on some 275/65/18 Grabber Atx. The front end has a 1.5” Motofab level.
These wheels are fairly new so I have yet to see anyone running them. They look great in person so I thought I’d share.
I just tuned my truck with Livernois and deleted cylinder deactivation. You really have to listen for it with a stock truck, but with the aftermarket exhaust it was really noticeable, so much that I put the stock exhaust back on. 8000 miles on my truck before the tune and had zero issues.
I ended up switching the tune over to Tow/Economy and I feel like its spot on for normal driving. The power is great and the shifts seem to be a tad softer. It still feels so much better with the skip shifting eliminated.
What's up guys,
So at almost 8000 miles I decided to install the Livernois 93 performance tune on my 21 5.0. First things first, the guys over at Livernois have been very helpful at answering all of my questions and respond within the day. The tuner was in stock, took 3 days to get to my door...
I have a 21 STX and I replaced the stock bulbs with Diode dynamics LED's. The cut off against the wall is impressive for a halogen lamp and there is no glare, plus no one is flashing their lights at me. Of course nothing will replace a true factory LED setup, but for under $200 it was WELL worth...
I have checked my heat shield around the driveshaft and its secure with no movement. Its definitely near the passenger foot well area under the truck. At least I can't hear it when the music is on.
