Ranger Marc, this is a fun decision. I ended up going with the Platinum and have some thoughts if I could go back --
What you get with Platinum that you don't get with a fully loaded Lariat, isn't really worth the upgrade in my opinion. Price-wise, a 502a and a 701a aren't far off and you could...
If you've been around long enough, you've seen a lot of this from Eric. This compilation is just a small sample, unfortunately...When you put all his posts into context, this is definitely another hate post.
Just curious, I notice you went from a 2019 to a 2021 and are now talking about going from a 2021 to a 2022. Do you just eat the cost of the upgrade or are you just really good at negotiating prices?? I ask because I'm considering doing something similar so definitely not judging.
The range of features from standard to the 402a is pretty interesting -- going from an XL to a base Lariat. Pricing doesn't seem to match that range as well so I'd expect most will opt for at least the mid or high package.
- Wireless charger is another one but it's pretty 'eh' in my opinion.
- I was comparing a 502a to a 701a and the price difference was only a few thousand (as mentioned) so I swayed upwards to avoid future regret.
- Ultimately happy with the platinum but still catch myself coveting the lariat...
It's quite interesting to me how different each experience is. I even think most DMV employees don't really know the correct way of doing it since each state is different. Glad to hear that the majority have had pretty seamless experiences.
I just went through this nightmarish process for myself and I was going through so many different sources (DMV website, forums, blogs) and could never find a great walkthrough of how to purchase a vehicle in one state and register it in another. I know a lot of people here buy from Granger or...

A few others have had it, I've had mine go one notch beyond Park quite a few times. It's mostly if I'm slamming it forward but ever since I've been conscious of it it hasn't happened. For me, it's a healthy...
I shouldn't even be thinking about it but how much am I losing if I trade in a 2021 Platinum for this beast...
Don't let my job title confuse you, I'm terrible with finances.
We could sit here and talk about our market speculation forever, that's essentially all wall street does is speculate. What you're talking about here are the current problems dealers/Ford are facing 'due to' the uptick in demand. What I'm arguing is that Ford anticipated a spike for the new...
Seeing a lot of posts like this. Research the chip shortage and think about e how you would have reacted at the beginning of 2021. Coming out of 2020 and not knowing what state requirements would be in effect regarding businesses and dealerships... Any good CEO would have gone to their supply...
