There seems to be multiple conversations going on about removing, replacing, repainting the grilles on the F-150. It’s one of the biggest ways to change the look and signature of your truck.

The same guy that provided the instruction video on the side emblem removal, MrBoom5.0, made a video showing how to remove the grille for those interested.

In the video, it looks like he has his truck damn near halfway disassembled in his driveway, but he has removed a lot of the parts that F-150 owners appear to want to change and upgrade. He says he intends to make future videos for those parts. I’ll try to post them here on our forum once he does.

For now, here is the grille removal instructional video!

Fucking hell he really got this truck and starting reverse assembly ?
Lol, I know right.

When I get mine, I’m not gonna touch it, breath on it, maybe not even look at it for extended periods! Let alone mechanic level disassembly!

I had the dealer order black emblems for mine. For this exact reason is why I asked them to put them on.

Looks pretty involved. Way beyond my pay grade!

Honestly it's not too bad. I can have the front end off and on in about 15 minutes!

Yes, this forum will be a great source of views for the videos. I’m sure a lot of these guys have similar build plans for their trucks!

That's a lot of stuff to undo, take off etc... beond my capability - murphy follows me!

There are Ford front Oval for 2021 that have build in LEDs, cool looking but not at the expense of removing all that crap to make it happen.

Yep, I have one on my 2018 platinum. It's honestly not that difficult to pull the front end off. Realistically if you have tools already set out it can be done in 15 minutes

I have the XLT 302A. I literally just got done installing the new rear and front grill emblem (With the front camera). You do NOT have to touch the headlights at all, or the sensors behind the front trim (my truck does not have them anyway). It only took 10 minutes to get the grill off. As easy as my 2016. Now here is the problem (not specifically truck related) but be very careful and inspect your new emblem if you are installing a new emblem from Ford with the front camera. The standoffs on the new emblem that holds the camera in place are not there. It is supposed to be a molded part of the plastic that holds the camera in place. So when I installed the camera, it just flopped around and there was nothing to hold it tight in the emblem. How does that even happen? I can't imagine that the XLT 360 Front camera is different than the other trims. I even gave the dealer the VIN to ensure it would work. SO to make a long story shorter Look at the pics below and make sure that the standoff for the camera matches your new emblem. I made mine work and I can't tell you how, other than I have to buy 3 new garden hose o-rings to replace the ones that found a home on my truck. **There may be a reason why they only include instructions for the rear emblem and not the front. Just sayin**

Great job. I wish I’d had your info before I paid for custom emblems. I actually like the oem with the smoked ring. The new cameras are digital at least for 360 system, so a little different design than the ‘20s. I should of pulled it apart first and made it work like you did, and saved $200.
