Anyone find a spray paint can that’s close to iconic silver ? The Plasti Dip one is too light. It’s more of a Ingot silver. But now I found this bad boy. I’ll report results back In a week.

Looks awesome! Wish I was that skilled with vinyl have attempted some things and have failed horribly!

I had to do it 4 times over before figuring out how to wrap with vinyl. YouTube videos doesn't mention
1. Tape off surrounding areas. To prevent vinyl from sticking.
2. Cut vinyl with excess. This allows for bunching into the excess area.
3. Don't trim vinyl until you finish tucking excess. Trim a little bit at a time.
4. Each time vinyl gets creased, Air bubbles etc. Lift up and heat.
5. Two people is easier. I had my hold the heat gun.
6. Cover finger with towel to push in curved area while apply heat.
7. Buy the large rolls. I started off buying 2 small rolls which barely covered headlightsso I didn't have enough excess for bunching.
8. Headlights have some curves, i found that starting in the middle is easier.

I'm doing the chrome front, rear bumper and mirror caps next to match iconic silver.

Vinyl wrap isn't to hard once you get the hang of it.

What vinyl did you buy to match iconic ?

I don't know if it matches completely but went with metrostyling vinyl. I got the same one as another user on this forum.

I was going to leave my center stripe chrome and just wrap top and bottom but I wasn't sure how it would look. Now I know and it does good. 9663mu is that chrome or did you wrap the center strip in a silver vinyl?

Finally got around to installing a retractable 45ft extension cord, swing case and self lock pull out storage box...needed a good place for my air rifles
I really need a level kit for those 285/65R20 AT tires.

Fellow Iconic Silver friends. So
That was my First attempt at trying. and I used the basics Silver from Plasti dip. The color is definitely lighter than iconic Silver, as I believe this would match the ingot Silver better. Anyway Regardless of the color I think it looks fantastic and yes it really does break up all that boring front lariat sport grille they gave us. Now having said that I just purchased this. And believe this will be very close to iconic. I’ll post up pics here when I get done.

Here a couple more pictures with Plasti dip silver. Before I try the Behr. I highly recommend doing this. It really gives the front end a new look.
