I drive a 2021 Space White STX 5.0 2wd. I’m running a Bilstien 5100 leveling kit with replacement struts and rear shocks. The wheel/tire is a 17 by 9 +12 venomrex 602 in Highland bronze that is wrapped in a 285/75r17 Toyo open country AT3 load range c. I would say I have a good 2” of poke. The factory set up weighed 78-79lbs. The new set up weighs 83.6 lbs at each corner .

Installed Ecooligical Gapshield today. Stoked with the outcome!

The Gapshield is interesting, not something I've seen before, wonder where it flexes up when it closes. If your tonneau seats really well against your tailgate, water shouldn't be an issue, but I know the seal on my current tonneau has worn out to the point it lets a little water in, but it currently just runs down and drains out immediately.

It folds up against the tailgate, but still always water to run down the tailgate! Works good with my tonneau cover.

Failed Experiment

During the process

I ended up painting the top third of the light housing with 2 coats of primer, 2 coats of black, 3 coats of clear.

After

The light passes right through the black, it dimmed the light that hits the tailgate barely. The goal was to have only light on the license plate and not up the tailgate. I’m guessing two coats of black was not enough! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Looks like you're running LEDs, so you don't have to worry about heat. Maybe put these on the inside of the housing and add glue if you want it to really stay in put, I've used them around my garage to block out little LEDs so the bugs stray towards the deadly LEDs...

Awesome build! Do you plan on color matching the tailgate handle? Once my truck is in, I plan on color matching the doors, but not sure about tailgate/if there’s an aftermarket site for it.

what did you do with the foglights?

I had yellow film over them for a bit, but then put led bulbs in the housing and took the film off.

The gap shield looks interesting. Silly question, do you think it would interfere with the power up tailgate?

I don’t think so, it provides almost no resistance when going up.
