Sadly my highest was when I drove it off the lot around 615. Now with heavier tires, and how I drive, I see around 500 in the winter and 580 in the warmer months. Would be nice to drive a PowerBoost for a month and see how it would differ.

2021 Lariat Super Crew, 6.5' box, Max tow, 36 gal, 3.5EB.
I came from 4 years of 3.5 Ecoboost 36 gallon tank. Now on my second Powerboost with 30 Gallon tank.

You could expect better fuel mileage out of the Powerboost, all things being equal, but the miles-to-empty would be fairly similar due to tank size.

Mid 600's is the highest with my Powerboost. But it was showing mid 300's during the cold Michigan winter.

Just a mild caution about the effort to get that extra gallon into the truck. You probably have already heard similar warnings, but if that extra fuel is coming from multiple clicks of the pump after the initial auto-click-off, you could be pumping fuel into the evap system and the eventual repair can be costly, as well as the CEL making the annual inspection sticker a failure.

Admittedly some states/counties don't test.

Until my last tank, the miles to empty never got very high but I started being more subtle with the accelerator pedal now that I am past 2k miles and hopefully the engine is broken in and won’t mind running just off idle most of the time.

My current tank maxed out at 566 miles to empty and stayed there for almost 200 highway miles after being driven nearly exclusively in city traffic. Where I had been getting awful mileage.

Also, for those with the 36 gallon tank, don’t forget that it has a 4-5 gallon reserve. I have filled my tank twice with around 50 miles to empty indicated and I have never put more than 26.33 gallons in my tank. The true miles to empty in the 36 gallon tank is somewhere between 50-110 miles beyond the indicated miles-to-empty.

One of these days, I will fill a jerry can with gas and see how much of those final five gallons are usable.

Highest I saw was ~775, when I did my test drive. Since then each tank is consistently ~560 at fill up. All of my driving is in town though, haven't had a chance yet to see what kind of highway mileage I can get.

Powerboost in Miami with approx. 11,000 miles last fill up 609 miles on full tank. Typically getting on average around 20mpg. I am pleased with this.

filled up this morning it showed 610 dte mind you this is my 1st fillup since i bought the truck last month and avg mpg reads 16.7 and climbing, last week it was 16 and week before 15 .8
36 gallon tank . my super duty showed 712 and 23 mpg with a 34 gallon tank, at 78 mph sustained.
i hope the eco boost gets up to at least 19 on highway or more as my eco boost expedition would pull 19.8 to 20 at 77 mph with 373 gears. and 6 speed.
my 2013 f150 eco avg. 20 at highway speeds. 355 rear gear

What’s your highest Distance to Empty reading? For the last week I had fairly ideal driving conditions. Not long after my last fill up I noticed my DTE showing 766. I know it’s not a realistic number over an entire tank but it’s amusing to see.

My first experience filling up my tank, and reading that DTE was a rollercoaster confusion of sorts. I’ve had my hybrid 2022 F-150 3.5L truck for about 11 days now, and it’s been filled up twice. (Both times have included a total of over 700 miles of driving which is not the norm for me), and still have about 60% left on my second fill left. I usually do about 400-500 per month.

Anyhow, I recently filled up my second tank last Saturday, and had a DTE reading of 582 miles to empty. As soon as I began driving on the highway, I noticed a steadyincrease pattern on the DTE. I’m hear thinking to be banking full additional miles. I continued the pattern building up electrical miles or DTE readings up to 733 when reaching my 3-hour destination. I was shocked to see that number increase from 582 to 733 by driving on the highway, and thought for some dumb reason that I would get a free 6-hour trip from Miami to Key West and arrive back home with the same or higher DTE reading I started with after filling up.

On the way back home, everything changed and those DTE miles gained began bleeding very quickly. By the time I got home, I was close to 502 DTE, but only 20-25% depletion on my gauge reading. I no longer look at the numbers, but maintain my view on the fuel gauge instead. The funny thing is that my 2015 F-150 Plat felt as if those DTE readings were accurate, and the numbers would actually match the miles you drove.

I saw 702 once but this is more typical on my 21 PB Lariat 502A sleigh. Bought mine off the lot because I did not want play the factory order lottery. The trade off was sunroof and power tailgate that make an already heavy truck that much heavier.

I would see this a lot in my '17 2.7l eb lariat (haven't driven the '22 enough to run into it).

If your driving pattern changes from one tank to the next it will adjust the dte to account for your current driving patterm. For instance when I had my '17 I did a lot of city driving, but when I had to drive to the office in Tampa, I would normally see the DTE be higher when I arrived than when I filled up before leaving (88 mile drive one way)

The powerboosts I assume might not do this as much because they have the same city/highway numbers. However, even with my PB, because if the length of my normal trips, I don't normally see above 16-18mpg (short 1/2 to 1 mile trips). So yesterday when I went on a longish ride the date adjusted up for me (mid tank).

This has been my experience as well.
The most fuel I have put in was 32.4 at one fill up in December
($83.00, vs. $130 last Saturday with 30 gallons)
609 miles on that tank and 20 mi DTE..

the most recent fill up showed

You must know that the number will go up and down as you drive. It may start out low, but will increase as you go the more electric and not driving like a maniac, etc. I've started out at a number, drove for awhile then got back home, number was the same +- a mile or 2...
