Y'all remember when.... (Warning! Satire inside!)

As I'm sitting here going on month 2 of 'in production', month 8 since order, and about 15 years of deliberation about if I could afford a truck, I've been thinking about all the changes.
I remember when he's was first over $5 a gallon. The year was 2008 and I had just returned from my first tour in Iraq. I had given away my old trust 1993 Honda Accord to my girlfriend because I loved her and we were gonna be together(spoiler alert, we're not). I had taken great care of my first car and had put $2500 into the shine system in highschool because that made me really cool! I flew home with a one way ticket and had to buy a vehicle to get back to base. I wanted a truck, but has was over $5 a gallon and they were getting 8-14 mpg at the time. I almost got a sporty altama, but ended up with an i35. I was 21, so again, it made me cool. But it wasn't a truck.

I remember when I finally could almost afford the truck I wanted, but it was 2018 and the stealership near me wanted to play games so I walked away. My wife got a new vehicle and I ever you with her old Tuscon. Definitely not a truck.

I remember when I finally had my finances in order and was ready to order a 21 PB but then the lightning came out(ohh shiny object) so I got side tracked.

I remember when the 22's opened and they took away the license plate LEDs and some of the interior lighting. What a shame! What is Ford doing to us! How do I pay more and get less?!? And what's this BAP that can be ordered?

I remember finally ordering a Platinum RR PB BAP luckily at 0% APR for 60 months. *Price increase* and instantly that has taken away the parking assist. No big deal, I would have used it for a party trick, but probably not often.

I remember watching my email every Thursday to see if I got an email from Ford... No email.
I remember when they told me the lay flat seats and BAP we're likely holding up my order, but I decided I was okay to wait. Oh look, a new member will be joining our family in 9 months and only one of our cars fits 3 car seats. That's okay, I'm sure I'll have my truck by December!

I remember when the massaging seats removed. This really bummed me out as I've been dreaming about being able to afford the boujie butt massage since I heard about them.

I remember ordering another vehicle to fit it growing family, worried that the truck wouldn't be here in time. I'm told this vehicle probably won't be here until next year!

I remember when I got a vin! I had given up hope and received an email on a Monday night! I was excited and less worried about the other vehicle. It was end of July after all, how long could it take?

My truck goes 'in production' and I get a window sticker.

I remember when they started removing navigation and other technology from lower trims in production.

I remember when they got rid of heated mirrors and steering wheels at all levels.

I remember our new vehicle getting in and being amazed it was less than 3 months!

I remember still not having a truck.

And we all remember how much time we've wasted reading this.... That's okay, we're still waiting on our trucks.

I can't believe they took out the LED license plate lights...
