i did the slide the console back method and installed the cup holder and such like normal. Then I moved the seats all the way forward and up, flipped up the back seats so I can lay back there, lifted the back of the console up and set it on a small box to keep it in the air. Then fished the wires from the hole in the carpet under the console to the wiring hole under each seat. Of course, you need to run it so that it will not get pinched or cut when the seat moves around and tie wrap it all up. I suggest plugging in the y harness from the cup holder from the top and feeding it down to where you can grab it once you lift the console up. Makesure the connection is good and tight cause I don’t think you’ll be able to see it from the top once it’s all tied up under the seats and in place.
Props to you man! I tried seeing if I could route under the carpet but it just didn’t seem like an option with all the dips and hills. Ended up just coming under the console as there are some decent gaps so the wire was not pinched.

I used one of these.

and fed it from under the seat until it popped out the middle and grabbed ahold of the connector with the claw and then carefully fed it through.
the way you did it will work great to as long as the seat track doesn’t catch it.

heres the connectors guys, youll be installing a wire from c2280c pin 4 to c212 pin 30 if you have the connectors in the footwell. if you dont youll be adding just the c2280c connection with the harness. Ive added the connector view for C2280E

For those who are doing this don’t make the rookie mistake I did when installing the jumper wire. Make sure you remove the green clip from the white harness and the red one from the black before inserting the pins. I had to learn the hard way.

I will have pictures of my install tonight. I have the Push to Start without the connectors present. Working with JHForman812 made this job easy to do. We are both on off shifts at our normal jobs so contact is easy for us. I had a couple hiccups along the way but they were worked through pretty quickly. I will be adding the under seat lights at a different time so I will be contacting him for a jumper harness to go from the cup holder lights down to the bottom of the seats. I believe it should be fairly easy. I do hope the pictures help the guys that are having a difficult time trying to visualize how the harness is ran and hooked up to the lights.

Huge shout out to JHForman812 for all the help with this one.

I have a PTS 302A and am ready to tackle this upgrade. I have the connector on the driver's side, but don't think I do on the passenger side, right? What's next please?

EDIT: Oops "it'll be in a holder"... let me look again

If you have the drivers you definitely have the passenger.

Perfect, thank you. I'll tear the other cover(s) off once I get there then. PM you to order the harness and then order the OEM parts next, yes?

Last question: I didn't see mention of adding the media bin light in this thread. Is that a separate process/harness and, obviously, additional OEM parts?

Take the glovebox out and you'll see the one on the passenger side, it'll have a little yellow tape plugged into a holder. See the picture below. As for the media bin yes you'll need the harness from John and the media bin light.
