XLT taillight LED bulb fitment?

Looking to upgrade my incandescent bulbs to LED but the stock bulbs are a W21/7W and I can't find much info on them. Also there's not much room behind the bulb sockets for a nice large heat sink bulb like the VLED V6 tritons.

Anyone find a bulb that works?

Also interested. I just emailed F150 LEDs and they said they are currently developing new harnesses for their LeD bulbs.

Anyone have experience with the 13 gen kits?

They are WT21 Bulbs and there's plenty of LED replacements you could use. You may need Ann online resister to combat hyperflash or flickering but it's not that odd of a bulb. Super duty guys have been dealing with these things as well for at least two years.

VLEDs told me their 4257 bulbs would fit but they were too wide for the socket. Could have filed them down but that would've voided the warranty if I had any more issues. Ended up returning them.

Any hyperflashing? They put everything else on LED but the rear brake lights and rear turn? I know the reverse light is led. I am curious on converting as well. What about the 3rd brake light I know the clear lights are LED but is the red portion? I have not had time to check it myself.

Yes you get hyper flash, but disabled it with Forscan!

It amazes me why everything else is LED except these

And unsure on 3rd brake light unfortunately

Gotcha, thanks it has been a few years since I used forscan. I still have my obd2 to usb connector. I have heard some guys say the reflective led headlights turn signal uses a standard bulb not sure either.

Forgot to update this thread. I found GTR Lighting 4257 bulbs from The Retrofit Source fit great and work well.

And for the hyperflash, it flashes at thw regular rate outside the truck but only the turn signal indicator inside the truck flashes quickly. If that bothers you, you can use forscan and disable "Rear Bulb Turn Outage"
