Great forum, thanks for having me!

I'm in love with the new F150! Historically a GM freak but this new platform and interior has me sold!

Suburbs of ATL and the trucks are EXPENSIVE here. I found a few that I'm interested in, both XLT's, and wanted to gather the forums opinion on what I should be paying for these trucks.

All three have the 3.5 EcoBoost with varying options. The second link is my favorite since it has the pano roof and other nice options.

The last link I already have an OTD price on - 53K but it is lacking some options for sure.. Just not sure how optioned up to go and what a good deal on an XLT looks like. Hoping for the forum to share some cheat codes with me to get the best deal!

Thanks in advance!

Ford has a very high MSRP then offers high discounts so you feel like you got a great deal. In the past, i waited until september until discounts hit $8-10k. But for some reason dealers offer that now on the 21 so i grabbed a 3.5 ecoboost xlt also. I love the sunroof, 360 camera, remote start, and puddle lights (welcome lights). Rest of it is based on looks and what you use it for. For me, fx4 package didnt add anything so i didnt want to pay for it. Dealers will negotiate on bed liners, rear wheel well liners, all weather mats, etc. XLT is best value, add Katzkin if you want leather (dealer might discount on price, other forums show members pay $1300-2k). Best way to compare ford trucks is look at window stickers

Using the VIN for each truck, look it up here to get the exact build configuration: http://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin=REPLACE WITH VIN

Once you've done that, go over to CostcoAuto.com and replicate the build there. You will see the MSRP and the Invoice price.

At a minimum, you should be paying Invoice BEFORE all incentives and tax, title and license. Depending on the market in Atlanta, ideally, you get them down to 500-1000 below invoice.

Then go look up your available incentives and subtract those from the price above.

Finally, figure out what extra fees the dealer is charging you, ideally it's not more than a few hundred dollars. Add TTL and that what your final out the door price should be.

So, the incentives subtract from the invoice price?

I just used Costco and my numbers dont match the dealers. For some reason his are higher.

The 2nd shifter is a $900 add option.

Another steering wheel is $1500.

Not exactly. Incentives should come off after you've negotiated a price (without incentives) with the dealer. I prefer to use that as a starting point, because it should be crystal clear what the dealer is really offering.

Incentives are what they are, you either qualify for them or you don't, they shouldn't be part of the negotiation, which can cause confusion.

For example, let's say you qualify for $3,000 in incentives, leave those out of your first quote.

Blue box MSRP: $58,000
Invoice: $53,000

Work from those numbers, get your quote. X-Plan will be about $52,800, dealer holdback will be about $51,300. If you fall somewhere in between there, you've done OK.

Then:
Subtract incentives
Add dealer fees
Add TTL

And you have your out the door price.

Curious if you have a VIN on the truck, or a link to it. Would be interested in seeing where the difference with Costco is.

No Vin.

I was thinking about a build, but that would takes a few months.

Invoice is basically X Plan. There is only a $200 variance.

We are both shooting for the same number it looks like.

My goal is 15% off MSRP.

MSRP $58,000
Less 15% $8,700
Cost $49,300

We can discuss dealer fees and I pay tax to the county where I live and they pay the state.
