Could it be a test tool that was forgotten in your truck during assembly? Take it apart to see what is and how it works. That's what I did as a kid. I got into a lot of trouble for taking stuff apart.

That would be my best guess, I was hoping it came in all trucks at this point thats a definite no, lol. The only place that has worked or been in it is the dealership and the business that installed my spray on liner. However if its not important or for the truck i will pitch it.

The end with the connector looks like an Amphenol style 4-pin bayonet plug:

Only, there's a center pin. The three tabs are for indexing the pins correctly and the corresponding plug would either have a tab or collar to lock the mystery device in.

How much does it weigh and what is on the other end?

Are there any numbers/letters or markings at all?

It's actually the heating element part. You don't want to be holding this end if its plugged in and turned on.
