Wrench Light after PCM OTA

So an OTA has been going out causing a Wrench Light on the CLuster.

EDIT - So I seem to have gotten the fix this time.

If you have the wrench after the OTA then you will need Forscan

You will need to go to the PCM as build and make this change

7E0-163-04 XXXX XXXX 01XX

The OTA set it to 02.

Once you have made the change clear the codes and you will be set.

I’ve only seen the results via OTA. The 2021 has not had the PCM update released via FDRS as of today. The 22 has.

I haven’t seen anyone report results after the FDRS install.

Mine is a 21 that got the ota via OTA and I have no wrench light. My truck is fully updated at the time of OTA though.

@BigDaddy updated his truck fully and still didn’t resolve the wrench light.

So for now it’s a no idea what to do and no explanation as to why some have the wrench return and some don’t .

That's good to hear. Mine has been sitting on the charger while I've been out of town so maybe the weird wake times in the fordpass app was the truck downloading something. We shall see in a few hours.

Jesse tried the roll back on mine but didnt fix the problem, I got a update with the wrench ligh on
the same day after , I just contacted a freind that works at a ford dealer and he is going to look into it

Jesse rolled back my PCM on Monday 2/18 and the "Wrench light" has not reappeared since. The problematic OTA is, 23-PU1009-SS-NS I'm sorry to hear the roll back isn't working for everyone.

Looks like the truck is downloading 23-PU1113-UNX-DC right now. Somehow I don't think this is the fix for the problem we are having though.

No, that's a fix for a communication issue in the TCU

My 2021 had a PCM update showing when I scanned it last night. Also an ACM and DSP update. I ignored the PCM but did the other two.
