I just had a windshield replaced at Safelite 2 weeks ago. I had to wait an extra 10 days for them to get the factory glass, but mine even has the 75th anniversary logo on it, which surprised the heck out of me.

They did the calibration of the camera and even sent a certificate showing that it was done.

So far soo good...
so y think i should trust safelite i saw alot of negative reviews about them.
I already asked for OEM glass i should have appointment tomorrow but after i asked for OEM they change it to Tuesday next week
So when u ask for OEM where they get it from??

I think you will be fine. They are a large company and like I said, they did three for me and the one that "was installed wrong" and cracked, they came out and fixed no charge, no deductible.
I would use them again, praying I don't have to....

Just make sure you confirm the OEM glass before you take it in to them. Obviously quality of install is up to the individual doing the work, but they've done several repairs for me over the years and so far so good...

I just had my windshield replaced at Safelite. I specified OEM acoustic glass but the windshield they installed doesn't have "Soundscreen" on it, but it does have the Ford logo. I took it up on the interstate and it was completely quiet so I guess it's acoustic. I heard the techs talking about Carlite, so that might be connected to Ford.

The Safelite people did a very good job, the calibration seems fine and my BlueCruise works right. I would use them again.

Like some above, I went thru a period of my 2021 attracking rocks to the windshield. Once, 24 hours after installing the new. All mine were done by Safelite, with sound screen. What I didnt know, the 2nd tech told me, is that there are two windshields, one with small camera port, one larger. The larger one also accommodates the rain sensor ( which I didnt have). He told me, the rain sensor is a $55 part on Amazon and showed me how easy it was to snap in place. My wiper control was already wired, so I opted to go that route. Got everything all set, sheduled an appointment with dealership to have the option enabled on sync. Holy crap, they called with an estimate $278. I said no thank you. I figured next break, I would just go back to the smaller camera port windshield and of coarse, it hasnt broken since!

Nice! I just had to have my 75th anniversary logo windshield replaced and the body shop said they couldn't find it anymore so I just have the old Ford logo now. Oh well...

I have had many windshields replaced. I always ask for OEM because they have to replace with like item if requested. At least here in Louisiana. Like them replacing fenders with aftermarket parts. I made the mistake of not specifying 1 time with Safelite and they put in an aftermarket glass that was complete trash. When I called to request them replace it due to the distortion and told them I wanted OEM only they would not because that was requested the first time. This was the last time I used Safelite. I now go to a locally owned glass shop, and they bill my insurance directly. You should not be forced to use Safelite if you do not want to. It is like choosing your own bodyshop when using insurance.

I'm guessing that you can enable it with Forscan. A lot cheaper than the dealer's price.

Getting mine replaced as we speak 2023, tech called me and said the OEM one has the 75th Anniversary logo but it doesn’t say SoundScreen anywhere. They are on standby. Did they remove the SoundScreen logo, does it have accustic etc…..not sure what to do.
