Hi everyone! Just picked up my 2021 last night and looking for a tonneau cover. Does anyone know if a 2015-2020 will fit the same or am i going to have to wait until someone makes a new one? I apologize if this question has been asked and answered before, I'm new to the whole blog thing.

Thanks
Ryan from WV

Good question, I've been wondering the same thing. I'm assuming it depends on what type of cover you have. Mine is a cheaper soft cover tri-fold that I think has some play on either side in terms of how much it will cover....I'm thinking as long as the box is similar in size mine should be ok...but not totally sure

A friend of mine has a brand new Ford brand tri-fold for his 2015 I really hope will fit.

The soft folds hang over the rails of the bed and attach to the top, whereas the hard-fold one I had before was fit specifically for the inner dimensions so I would think the hard-fold type might be a little less forgiving. My soft tri-fold sits right in the middle of both bed rails so there's a couple inches of play there I think.

Bakflip has two different part numbers for 15-20 and 21+ covers. I used the online chat with Bakflip rep and they said that the 2020 would not fit the 2021 "Because of the taper". Not sure what that meant exactly, but if I get a 2021 I'm going to try like hell to make the cover fit. LOL

If you can find the specs, the bed top rail might taper smaller or larger in size from front to back.

My local dealer got a truck in, went to take a look. Noticed the top of the tailgate has a bit of a "spoiler" on it, it curves up a bit, not flat. Did the 2020 and earlier have that?

You can kinda of see it on the first pic here : https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/thr...021-photos-videos-thread.210/page-2#post-3201

It looks like the little fin piece is on the back edge of the tailgate. The forward edge of the tailgate still looks flat to me in the pictures. That's where the Bakflip rests.

Not exactly on point with the years but I used my truxedo low pro from my 2004 on my 2010 then moved it to my 2016 when I had it too. Just something to reference if they say they wont fit and some real life experience to compare with.

I love when old threads come back alive!

I've used the same TonnoPro soft trifold on 2 generations of Rams and now my F150. Fits great, no major leaks.

As long as it’s the same size bed it fits.
