Im throwing some 35s on my 23 FX4 with a 2" spacer kit. Does anybody know if this is going to screw up my transmission shift points and engine RPM programming? I am going to be towing a Travel Trailer around 1500 miles right after I do it and am trying to find out if it will hurt the truck/transmission if I dont reprogram ECU with proper tire size? I know speedo will be off, but I am more worried about performance and potential damage.

Thanks in advance.

Tuner/Programmer would be best but I have heard that disconnecting battery and letting the truck fully die resets the computer so it will re learn shift points.

Whats your rear axle ratio?
What engine?
How heavy is your trailer?
There should be some calculators online.

Besides your speedo being off like you mentioned , i don't know of any other issues with regards to Trans/shift points. I went from the stock 18s like you to 295/70/18 and then to 35/12.5/17 and noticed nothing shift point related.

only thing i seem to notice is my MPG has dropped like 2MPG haha
I was averaging around 17.2-18.2 with Fuelly but my last fill up with 14.9! but i did add an exhaust and i did add heavy ass tires.

I will say my truck seems to want to rev a little bit more now that ive added the heavier tires before shifting.
