I was in Germany in the late 70s and during the annual reforge training it was crazy the stuff I saw. I had crossed trained into X-Ray by then and we had MUST units setup for medical care.

I remember this one case that had stuck we me all these years. This solider was in his sleeping bag under a tank to get out of the weather. The tank crank up not knowing he was there and he could not get out of his sleeping bag in time. You can imagine the rest. We had to just X-Ray the entire sleeping bag.

I guess they still trained you at Ft. Sam? Thank you for your service sir!

This was me about 100 years ago it seem like, was assigned to a medevac unite at that time.

Yep, I see her there!

I was 91B then 91P, did 12 years in the Ready Reserve after I got out in 1980. Spent 2 years 97th Gen in Frankfort Germany and last 2 years at Ft Lee, 85th combat support hospital. While in reserves I was all over the place during my drill time.

Retired?
Not sure our 38% covers the f150 universe - there are fleet trucks etc. But Ford estimated 10% hybrid at start of the year and I believe it is way higher than that.

I think we can all see the WRITING ON THE WALL HERE>
Like it or not
For better or for worse
Electric is the way of the future.

My guess is that the fully electric F150 will be a big hit just so long as the battery is LARGE ENOUGH or can be supplimented with aditional ad-on modules to increase capacity.

As for me.
I absolutely freaking LOVE my Hybrid.
The one and only thing I would seriously like is a LARGER BATTERY.

There is a lot of new battery tech very near on the horizon.

One that Ford is investing in heavily is a solid state or capacitor type. The new tech is much smaller, way faster charging and much more powerful, all of that and cheaper to build.

There are a couple of articles posted here under the electric thread if any are interested.

You can see why combustion engines have a limited life left.

When SOLID STATE BATTERIES actually go into full production they WILL FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORM transportation as we know it.

Most people do not appreciate the HUGE change that is on our event horizon right now.
By the end of 2021 we could see the first real hints of what is coming in 2022/2023 with this new technology..

Solid state is definitely a game changer, but 2022/23 is a bit optimist. Toyota currently leads the pack, with a prototype expected by the end of this year or early next year. Production vehicles aren’t expected until 2025. Japan is heavily subsidizing this tech, so Nissan also has a good footing.

Agreed
But I DO think we will begin to see REAL SOLID STATE BATTERIES in VERY limited quantities in 2022 and then in larger quantities in 2023. I don't expect them for CARS, but for much smaller devices such as Cell Phones as the first major market target for production.

Nevertheless, their advent WILL change everything.

I think Toyota will get their butts moving being so far ahead. 24-25 I think you can expect to see models starting to show up and with a bang.
