I really hate watching these types of videos..... they make me want to go out and get the FP700 kit installed.

Yeah, now I'm trying to see if I can justify another 12K for that special part number, lol

Love to drop into my Tremor, but have concerns about reliability, and longevity.

Cool but make the engine last as long a Toyota 5.7 without issues.
Would be a gutless turd, at 65 HP per liter we’d make like 320 HP. The Toyota 5.7 lasts because it has low compression and low volume cylinder filling. There was no point in that engine being DOHC either as the heads flow like crap, it was outperformed by equivalent pushrods like the 5.7 Hemi that had only 16 valves. Weird engine that never made sense, they went through all the complication of making it DOHC just to give it restricted ports that flow like complete shit.

So be it. Id say the 90% of people who drive these would rather them last forever than appeal to the small percentage that like to pretend their pickup truck is a race car.

Why does it show 24+ with the gen4? Doesn’t my 21 have the gen4 coyote?

Yes, the lineage chart he showed was for the Mustang. The F-150 got the gen 4 in 2021, the Mustang just migrated over to the 2021+ F-150 connecting rods, crankshaft, and oil pump in 2024 though so that’s the way it charts for the Mustang.

Oh ok gotcha. Guess I wasn’t paying close enough attention. Cool video for sure though!

The video literally has multiple F150s gapping “race cars”. I honestly have lost some of the appeal of driving our fast car because I know that any coyote F150 (and I mean any 2011+) with 5k in suspension & breaks with 10k in F/I on corn will destroy it in all but the most technical of HPDE or AutoX scenarios.

2021 AutoX SCCA solo national champion was an F class Mustang Mach 1. From the factory they are pushing 4,000 lbs. An RCSB F150 FP700 (cheaper and easier to cage) weighs 4,500 lbs. No sir, that Mach 1 can’t run that down unless on an exceedingly tight course.

I don’t think many are pretending they are race cars, why would they? This platform can bully race cars and has since 2011.

Not to mention the Tundras look like dog shit.
