Why did my tires turn bronze?

Just washed them, no tire shine on them.

It doesn’t brother me, a little tire shine from time to time and it’s gone, just curious.

I'm not sure. Could it be dirt from a dirt road (I guess you would know if that was it...lol)? I also see what looks like rust stains on the driveway. Maybe your sprinklers are hitting the tires and leaving rust stains? I've never heard of that but I'm just brainstorming here.

As to the tire shine, I use this stuff and it works great and lasts a while. It's not shiny but it's also supposed to treat the rubber. I prefer the matte/satin sheen it leaves.

Either dirt, brake dust, or tire blooming. Google the latter if you never heard of it. Lots of info out there.

Yup, need to clean them, its in the tire or dressing you use. Search for a tire "cleaner" and get after them with water and the cleaner.

I live in northern Minnesota and have seen pick-up trucks that drive on some open pit iron mine roads and the entire truck looks like it's rusted.

It's the oils in the rubber of the tire coming out. Spray some degreaser on the tires (try not to get any on your rims) let it sit about 3-5 minutes them rinse it off. They will be back to black.

I would recommend Adam’s wheel and tire cleaner that stuff works wonders!

Wash them and put some protection on tires before they dry rot on sidewall.

So I thought I would add this here. I'm detailing the truck today and after scrubbing my tires 4 times each with my normal tire soap and the brown still being there I ran up to the store.

I got this and let me tell you it works wonders! I also got a tire brush. I ended up doing the tires 2-3 more times, but it took less scrubbing and the last one or two passes were more spot cleaning.
