Any thought why the 3.0 comes with 20s vs the 18. Is it just for looks or there is mechanical reason .

What trim level are you ordering? FYI, you know they aren't making the 3.0 anymore? Even though it still shows up on the build tool. I built out a XLT with 3.0 on the build tool and it had 18s. If it's a higher trim level, that just what they come with. For example, the Platinum comes with 20s and you can't option 18s.

I ordered it back in July and came with 20s lariat trim . I think I want 17 or will take 18 much better ride and for the monster off roading I do in my mind it makes sense:rolleyes:

Is there any reason they are still showing the option on the website if it is no longer available. I wonder how hard it is just to disable the link to build diesel. Not sure I understand their rationale.

Right. I just didn't want that left out there.

NO thats probably the most important thing I would have gotten a set of 17s for off road hunting trip and then said sure I till tow that quick. o_O gotten myself in trouble much appreciated . I will likely go to with 2 sets of 18s . Thanks again

Yeah. 17s won't go over the larger breaks that come with Max Tow.

My 2021 Lariat 501a with the 3.0 was recently found in dealer inventory in RI, which I quickly pounced on during 0% interest offer. It didnt have the Sport nor Lariat chrome option (which got you 20") ordered so it came with the 18" wheels, very nice looking for that matter and seems to be specific to the 3.0 engine option. Looks very similar to the king ranch 18" wheel. They just need a better/taller tire.

I will prefer 17 or 18 as well. Ford should make rim size optional rather then lumped with trim level

If you have the tow package the 17s won’t fit that’s why the 20 I was told the 18s could fit

I should be getting it in 2-3 weeks but if I had found it before hand I would have gone with for the zero offer so Congratulations and good luck
