I know this is early and little info out there on the BEV F-150 but I'm curious how many of us would actually consider an electric version??

I'm in that camp myself depending on the specs and price.

I'm definitely interested in the Electric F150 but can't wait longer than another two years.

What I care most about is range and towing ability. Also price of course.

I'm the owner of a hybrid automobile, and we absolutely love it. The gas mileage is incredible, and it's quite quick. Best thing is that we don't have to carefully plan our longer trips, and we have a 500+ mile range.

Looking forward to trading in my 2020 Raptor for an all electric F-150. I love the Raptor (it's my second one) but I have wanted an electric pickup truck (Ford preferably) for years. And I'm glad to see that it's finally past the pipe dream stage. I've told my salesman to let me know when the order can be submitted. I'll be all over it (and hopefully it'll be in Velocity or Electric Blue).

I am anxiously awaiting the electrified F-150. Seems like 2021 is the year all the electrified trucks will be on the market

I am! If it looks like a normal F150, I'm totally in. There will be some kind of higher end motor version which I bet will be pretty fast. I don't tow very heavy or longer than 2 hours away. I think as long as I could go 200 miles per charge in the dead of winter at below 0 it would work for me 99.9% of the time. I'll take a platinum electric in white.

Yea if all the announced ones so far make it to market there's gonna be 5-6 electric pickups on the market within 2-3 years. The F-150 will still be the one to beat IMO. As long as its range is competitive, its packaging, capability, design and reputation is gonna be hard to beat for the newcomers.

Ya I think that's key to the electric F150's -- if it looks like a normal F150. Too many EVs are purposely designed to look like a prop in a sci-fi movie. That's the wrong approach if you wanna appeal to traditional truck buyers. Just have it look like a regular F150 with some subtle touches indicating it's the electric version and then let the specs and benefits of electrification speak for itself.

I love the tech and performance of the Tesla stuff but their cars are boring looking and the "truck" isn't want I want. If Ford makes an electric pickup with awesome performance, AWD but everything else is standard F150, I'm in for sure as long as it's not way above a gas version.

IMO Tesla left a gaping hole for the traditional truck makers to fill. The Cybertruck could've been a real threat to Ford considering all vehicles are moving to EV but instead of making a broad appealing (or just plain appealing) truck they decided to go appeal completely to the fringe.

All Ford needs to do is not mess too much with the F-150 formula like others have said. Give it the same basic design as all the other 14th gen F-150s. I'd be fine with a closed grille but nothing too futuristic.

Hard to say if I am nor not without specs or a look at the electric F150. Can say I may be intrigued if it doesn't look like a sci-fi mars truck and the specs are good, including ability to tow medium range without absolutely killing range.

That metal door stopper design musta been designed by Musk while relaxing to this.

I am looking forward to buying the 1st full-size electric truck to hit the market! Rivian is a small truck, Hummer is a Hummer with a small deck, Cybertruck is a doorstop. That leaves me with Ford or Atlis!

I think Atlis is going to be nothing more than vaporware. Reasons why:
  • It exists only on the computer monitor only right now, there isn't even a prototype
  • The founder's experience is only in electric weapons
  • Company has fewer than 6 employees
  • They haven't raised a targeted $1 million to build its first prototype

While I can't share what I've seen coming through my labs from several OEMs, I can say your third point is false...and I'm pretty sure your fourth point is also false. Considering the gannet chart of their progression shows that the full prototype is not online for at least another couple of quarters, your first point is true. But if you consider the battery as the focal point of the progression, you may want to withhold judgment of no prototype. Your second point is unknown to me and I'm unsure how it is relevant, but I will leave it to you to explain why it is.

All that said, I would NOT be surprised that it becomes vaporware!
