This coming Wednesday (Aug 4) will be eight weeks of having my 501 Lariat. I've had three XLT's in the past 7-8 years and I'm loving my Lariat. Great ride for sure...and the 2.7 EB is as peppy as any muscle car of the '70's. Totally satisfied with my truck :) .

Here’s my baby. Windows tinted, since I have added AVS vent shades, laminex smoked rear light film, Ford bed mat. I have a areoskin hood protector ordered. Otherwise gonna put some Faulken wild peaks same size as what came on my girl and call it a day.

RUST.

In all seriousness, it’s a great truck. The ride is smooth, the technology is awesome, if not a bit overwhelming at times, and the truck just looks great. I like that they didn’t radically change anything.
Is there a rust inhibitor we can apply?

Fluid film is a good place to start. Needs to be applied yearly.
You do not have Krown rust protection compagny down there? Here in Quebec you do spray it once a year and your good to go for a 10-12 years with no rust. krown.com

I have been thoroughly impressed with my truck and have been fairly happy with it. There are some minor things that I'd like to see, but nothing is a deal breaker. I wasn't happy last night though when I got my first tank of gas, but I knew it was going to be painful filling it up when I bought it.

Powerboost for me.
And you living in USA or Ca? Cause gas price in USA is much cheaper than here in Ca. And with the powerboost you will get about 20 miles a gallon likeloly more. I saw om TFL, Andre got a very better mileage driving very smooth.

USA, filled up with 93 octane/premium. Calculated average was 24.1 mpg. My driving was ~70% highway miles for that. It will be fall I think before I get a "normal" tank of usage in as we have several weekend drives coming up in the next month.

Very retired
Getting close to 4,000 miles. Very happy with the truck. It hasn't been trouble free. I had a no start a couple weeks ago. It was flashed with a tsb fix but needed an ota push to correct it. And, the sliding door on the center console was replaced. It would stay open. But, overall, it's a good truck. Just bought a 2021 Explorer King Ranch to sit next to it in the garage.

I’m an optimistic Kinda guy. Awaiting delivery as it left factory yesterday. Y’all have me worried about 10,000,000 different issues now lol. Can I get some “this is the best truck I’ve ever driven” and “no regrets at all!” comments lol. Figure we cheer things up!
Officially 4 months in and 9500 miles. Best vehicle purchase ever. Period. Powerboost ftw

Just ticked over to 2000 miles today after about 3 weeks of ownership (Platinum PB) and LOVE the truck. Everything works well thus far and I really don’t have any complaints. Even the “goofy” stuff I thought I’d not really use like the massage seats are great on a long drive.
