Hi all
I'm finally scheduled for production so I'm looking at goodies.

I'm a wheel spec nerd so I'm trying to get a grasp on what will and won't fit on a F150. What's the smallest diameter we can fit? 17s? Or 18s?

I know the Tremor will take some 35s (some requiring some light mods, some not), but I'd like to run the smallest diameter wheel I can and don't wanna be stuck with 18s if I don't have to.

Thanks

I've got the standard 17's on mine, but they're not anything special like the tremor wheels which i believe are wider. I have to say the ride is really comfortable with whatever pirelli scorpions they put on from the factory

It's my understanding that you can run 17's as long as you don't have the max tow package which has the larger calipers in the rear.

My understanding isn't fantastic, but I don't think you can get the Tremor with the max tow. You can get "tow tech" and "trailer tow package". Neither one mentions brake calipers so I'm guessing I'm good?

As long as your rear brakes aren't bigger (max tow) you're good to go to run 17s. Tire size is entirely up to your wheel offset. You can fit raptor takes offs (35s) on a bone stock truck and they'll clear. Wheel offset is the deciding factor on how much lift you'll need. This is my truck (XLT) with raptor take offs and 35s. I leveled it just for the look and ground clearance but I would have had wheel clearance regardless of the level.

I guess i'll need some help from the tremor guys on if the "trailer tow package" comes with the larger rear brakes.

RAPTOR has 17's. My RCBS has 17's.

17's will fit any F150 except for the max tow package that has bigger brakes. For these 18 is the min.

The standard wheels are 17" argent silver. I have a 2021 FX4 that came with 17" wheels and 265/70-70 -17. I actually have a set of 17"s with rwl Pirellis that I took off of my truck when it had less than 100 miles on them. Imo the smaller dia wheels give a better ride quality due th tha fact that they have more sidewall to cushion the ride

How did you paint the wheels? I found a set local and I like the look but love the black. So you would say you have plenty clearance?

I plasti dipped them myself. Cost me about $30, and clearance is good to go haven’t had any issues at all with daily driving and mild off-roading. For the plasti dip I just used a trash bag to cover the rotors and brake calipers, covered the logo and sprayed about 1 full can per wheel to leave a thick coating, then I removed the tape from the center cap and all done. Looks awesome!

For what it’s worth I have previous Gen 2017 steel wheel take offs for my winter tires and the old TPMS work perfect

I have a 23. With tow package and not max tow. And i have 18s. And i cnt even fit my index finger between wheel and caliper. So i have to check if some reason 23s comes with bigger calipers in general.
