I have the sun roof, 2K Power on board, spray in bed liner, 502A package, auto tailgate with built in step.
Also, have the B&O Unleashed sound system.

I guess all that brings the total down from 1760 Pounds to 1218Lbs

542 pounds less - ouch
You have the record right now, lol.

Yeah, I have changed my order to the 5.0 to get more payload.

I'm really wanting to stay with the 2.7 and wanting to get a small travel trailer around 5000 lbs. I wouldn't be too concerned if the advertised payload was close to the actual, but it seems to be all over the place. I'm looking at a Lariot 400a 4x2 and want to see if anyone has any real world payload numbers. I'm not getting any of the tailgate, power bed options, or sunroof which should yield higher payload numbers. I'm concerned that I might need to bump up to the 5.0, which I really don't want to do

I know this has been talked about some in other subforums, but I'm looking for 2.7 specific numbers.

Update: The reason I'm concerned about payload is that I plan on buying a camper that weights around 5000 lbs (probably a little less). I have a spreadsheet where I can calculate the needed payload based on worse case scenario. Attached is the payload chart from the brochure. FYI, you'll never see max payload when you option out a truck. (Check the truck sticker with the tire information for payload).

Started a spreadsheet, the more information I have the better.
I notice there are two GVWR values for some options (like 2.7L 4x4: 6600 & 6900). How do you know /choose which GVWR you'll end up with? Is the higher value a result of the Heavy Duty Payload Package for the 2.7L that I see as an option?

Yes, that's with the Heavy Duty Payload Package. That chart is actually from the brochure. I ended up going with the 5.0 and have a payload of 1920 lbs.

There is no HDPP with a 2.7.
HDPP is only available up to the 301aXLT with either the 5.0 or 3.5EB

6900 # on the 2.7 EB requires the # 1 option, the 2.7 EB payload package.
The XLT 302a is the highest trim the 2.7 EB payload package (6900#'s) is available on.
All Lariats are at 6600#s

2.7EB payload package increases payload to 1965#'s from 1740#'s on the 4X4, 145" Screw.

I wouldn't be concerned with your 5000 lbs trailer. My 2018 2.7 performed great pulling a 5000lb trailer. That was a actual weigh in at 5000 lbs. With the 2.7 4.2 screw, your looking at Max trailer weight of 7700 pounds, which your well within. Tongue weight at 15% would be 750, so if you add in a hitch of say 125, your at 875. If your payload is at 1400 (just pulled this number from thin air) you still have 525 left. I don't know what actual curb weight is, lets call it 6500 pounds. 6500 +5000 = 11,500 plus your extra payload leftover at 525 = 12,025 combined weight, which is still under 12,800. So looks to be good?

Forgive me if I did the math wrong, i'm sure someone will correct me. Also, nothing is certain until you hit a scale with everything, but theoretically it seems to be ok.

Thanks - mis-typo on my part! "2.7 Payload Package" is what I meant. Crazy-confusing regardless, haha.

My understanding is then the 1965# is then the absolute MAX and just about any option added will take away from that value. Still a pretty decent number, from what I've seen online with higher-end F150's and Tundra's. (one video highlighted that a Maverick had a higher payload than any of the F150's in that video, which were all in the 1500-1600# range; not too shabby!)

I have not received my order but already starting to second guess the decision due to payload. Family of 4 and don't currently tow anything, possible a small boat or trailer in the future. More than likely it will be a family hauler and grocery getter; maybe this is an irrational worry I'm not sure.

2.7 Lariat 500a, trailer tow package, bed utility package, 36 gallon tank.... (no sunroof)
