When I first got my truck I was actually surprised how little the turbos actually work in normal driving but if I floor it, it does go to max boost. If I go aggressive but like 75% then boost only goes about half like your saying. I have the same engine btw.

21 Lariat 3.5 eco boost. Seems about right, towing, accelerating hard with the 7000lb camper in tow it’ll go 90% to 100% of that 0-20 gauge.

drive mode will make a difference. In sport it should go a little higher.

When I had a performance tune on my former ‘18 with the 3.5, I’d see boost in the 17-19 max psi range as measured from the psi gauge on the tune programmer. This was above stock levels of psi by probably a few points.

I could be wrong, but IIRC, stock boost levels were about 12-15 psi.

Yeah, I've seen 15 psi quoted for the Gen 1.

I've seen text on the new turbos for the Gen 2 being capable of more PSI, but not that they are setup to do so.

@Westwood503 are you running 87 or 91+ gas?

Okay, dumb question: Where is the boost gauge? I haven't found one on my '22 STX, thinking it doesn't have one but maybe it does?

Raptor also has true dual exhaust and I think a bigger intercooler, but I assume most of the extra power is in a tune.

Depends on your dash, but on mine you open the menu to configure gauges, and I swapped the transmission temp to turbo boost.

Thank you, I'll look at the menu options, but I'm not sure the STX has that.

Different, larger turbos are the real difference.
I think the larger turbos was the gen 2, now it's the higher PSI in addition to what you mentioned.

Powerboost here. Depends on the weather. I saw it peg 20psi a time or two in the summer humid air. Now that it’s cooler, I may peak at 17 or 18 on the gauge and then settle in between 13-15 sustained. Running 93 octane
