What To Expect After Placing Order Last Week

Hi. Newby here. I placed an order for a Platinum last week and now I don't know what to expect. When should that order have been sent to Ford and when should it be accepted and given some sort of identification number that I can track through the production process? I see the order tracker and would like to get my truck on the list. Thanks

First get your info submitted on the first page of the orders list called "Orders Tracking List Submission Form " just put in info that you know the order number is not that pertinent it is an internal dealer number. Then you wait for your VIN number it will come from your dealer anywhere from 2-6 weeks from what I have seen lately. You may have to check with them frequently because they may or may not notify you. Once you get your VIN submit it back on the Order list "Change Request Form " to update new info on the form, and submit VIN on tracker form, F-150 Order Tracker Tool [Enter VIN]. By then you will have your VIN about memorized. Your Tracker will notify of a build week a week or so after your VIN. Then as your week approaches it will give a production date, Delivery is 3-6 weeks. This is simplified because there can be many variable that affect this flow.

Thanks. I tried what you said, but it won't let me go any further than the first page. It says an actual order number is required information, so I'll have to try later after I talk with my salesman. Cheers

I got the order number, it was on the order form I received last week. I didn't realize it's just a simple 4 figure number, I thought it would be longer than that. Anyway,I got everything entered on the order submission page and I'll just have to wait for the vin to arrive. Thanks again. Cheers

I am in the midst of this process now. Here are my dates:

1/25 - Placed Order at Dealer (order# on paperwork, which you discovered)
1/26 - Entered all available info into Forum tracker using form
2/8 - Received the VIN and the Build Date from the dealer. Put in a change form on Forum tracker to update information.
2/17 - Window Sticker popped up on the Ford Tracking site with a merge date of 2/22.
2/22 - Waiting for status change on the Ford Tracking site
