First I'll start by saying I live in Canada so I'm not sure the differences in pricing but a ballpark would be great. I want to make sure I get the most for my trade in when my new truck arrives later this month....

Trade In :

2019 F-150 XLT Supercab. Oxford White.
Levelled
2.7L Eco boost
20,000 KILOMETERS. (12,500 Miles)
XTR Package
FX4 Package
Payload package
Tow tech
Adjustable pedals
Tailgate step

Excellent condition overall.

When I ordered my 2021 back in Feb. They gave me a worst case estimate without looking at it of $30,000. CANADIAN. I know its gone up quite a bit since then. I was thinking closer to $37-$39K... But looking online at dealerships almost all 2019 f150s are selling for $50,000 or more and allnhave at least double the Kms as mine... Anybody have any idea? Kelley blue book says $36,000, but that seems really low to me... Thanks!

Do they have CARMAX in Canada? Put in you VIN and get a quote.

Doesn't look like it. Was able to add features and packages on Kelley blue book and got the value up to $42,000. Which seems much more reasonable..

Sell it private party or do Carvana. You’ll make way more than if you trade it in.

I don't believe there is a Carvana in Canada. This is how I sold my car and it was an easy process.

Your trade value doesn’t matter and don’t focus so much on that. The trade difference is the only number that matters. The worst thing you can do is get hung up on the value of yours and dealers key on that. They know there’s sentimental value...don’t fall for the voodoo math. I don’t know how it works in Canada but that truck here would be mid $30’s trade and you should get $5-$7K off MSRP on the new one. A dealer that “shows” you a really high trade value probably doesn’t have a dealer discount and is working off MSRP on theirs.

if your dealer sends your truck to the USA your looking at a whole lot more, Im trading in my 21 as soon as the new one shows up, Geting what i paid for it, It will go state side and with the dollar difference it's something that i cant refuse, dealer told me to Order another truck in March when i got mine, Should be here in a week or so...Low mile trucks are in Demand !! Sell it private and go through the dealer for tax saving...

Bluebook should be higher. Mine is a 2019 xlt supercrew 5.0 nothing major added on with 30 K and is valued at $38,000

I traded in my 18' XLT 5.0L with 38,000kms, no sunroof, no nav, XLT sport package, and Special edition package for $40,500 CAN +tax. Didn't have a blemish on it, maybe a 9/10. I thought this was a steal considering it had the problematic 5.0L. Dealer asked no questions and took one walk around before their initial offer of 39K. I got them up $1500 and think I could have gotten more considering the demand for 2nd-hand vehicles at the time (Feb).

Awesome, thanks for the reply! I think I have a much better idea of the value to expect now.
