I am curious to know what folks are getting for MPG for around town and for any highway trip in the real world. I don't expect that towing would see any improvement over the 3.5 Ecoboost, but lots of us buying these are getting them in hopes of overall improved mileage.
i have had mine for a little over a month and before i put icon coilovers with 285x65x20 driving in eco trying to maximize i would get 21+ primarily on the highway. If i am crusining on off in traffic and the city is where i have seen the truck shine and thats where it will jump my avg up a couple more mpg.

After the wheels and tires im probably getting 17.5-19 depending how i drive. I will say i am still struggling to get my speedo and everything properly dialed with forscan so i can get an accurate number. Hopefully i fixed that tonight and go test out and will repost some accurate info with about 2.5" lift in front and the above wheel and tire setup. I also added a decked system which is a couple hundred pounds and a canopy so not sure how that will play into affect. i will say towing my 28' trailer with this truck is pretty amazing especially coming from my 18 Raptor. It tows things like nobodys business.

One big thing on the highway is your speed, which is nothing new, but it's significant. I noticed a huge drop from keeping it around 65-70mph vs 75-80mph.
@xtraman122 -

I've noticed the same thing - even though I haven't yet leveled the truck or switched to bigger tires. When driving 70-75 on the highway, anecdotally I've seen my mpg in the 21-22 range. When driving 55-60, I've consistently been 24-25 mpg.

As with most things in life, the sweet spot is somewhere in the middle. I'm averaging about 23 mpg over the 2300 miles I've driven. Very pleased with that!

Guess it does pay to drive slower in more ways than one…

The slight differences in elevation from point A to point B can make such a big difference as well. I drove into Boston last week and got 27mpg on the ride in, coming back home I averaged about 23 or 24. Same thing always happens when I go to my in-laws down on the south shore. You feel like you’re going up and down an even number of hills all the way, but eventually you realize one way of the trip has a lot more downhill than uphill when you look at the elevation differences between where you’re going, and the mileage reflects it greatly.

Ok, I've stayed current on all 25 pages of this thread.....mostly out of curiosity. I know this isn't a tire thread but they sure play a big role in MPG #s.
I have 2 sets of wheels and tires. The original set of 275/65/18 Goodyear A/Ts on Lariat Chrome PVD wheels that weigh 65-70lbs per wheel and tire. Then I have a set of 295/70/17 Cooper Discoverer XLT A/Ts on 2020 Raptor forged beadlocks that weigh almost 100lbs per wheels and tire. I use the Coopers when going off-road camping.
Trying hard I can get 22mpg with the Goodyears but only 18mpg on the Coopers. These are about 75% city averages.
How some of you are getting 27mpg just blows me away!
I didn’t buy my truck for the great mileage so I’m not disappointed……….I absolutely love the performance both on and off-road.

Interesting. I get "pretty good" MPG but definitely not close (on average) with what folks here share. And I use every trick in the book...
...But around city I feel like others must be getting longer electric modes than me in general.
Being in 2H helps a lot as well, if you switch to ECO it automatically goes to it but I usually stick with normal mode and 2H for better accelerator response

Are you lifted/leveled?

I went from the 275x60x20 pirelli scorpions to 285x65x20 BFG AT KO2s which are noticeably heavier but my MPG remains unchanged. I am stock, not leveled or lifted. I think that has a big impact on aero and mpg.

I can get 24MPG in the city and on the highway at 73MPH**. If it is a cooler day where the AC does not need to run as much, then 24 MPG all day long in ECO mode. Must use eco meter or always let adaptive cruise accelerate from slow speeds. It always gets 100% on the drive coach, so I just let it do it. I just hit resume after the vehicle stops, its way easier to drive that way.

**Highway MPG at 73 was achieved with setting adaptive cruise to 73 Max and allowing traffic to slow the truck down at times to increase the MPG. Adaptive cruise also set speed based on road signs, so when 60 MPH highways are traveled, the truck can get 25MPG at that speed (sometimes).

Sample trip meter pictures.

One is about 2000 miles, and I averaged 22.9 MPG with mixed highway, interstate, and city driving. Many stops and air conditioned idle time doing paperwork is the reason for not getting 24MPG.

Between 50 and 60 MPH it can spike at 28 MPG on an 8 mile trip

I work on the road and drive a lot of miles doing it. I’m in my truck often (862 Hours exactly). I’m sitting in my truck now.

Stock Platinum 4200 miles. I am averaging 18.5 (mostly residential) but do get about 22 on the freeway doing 70ish. Residential areas with lots of stop signs seems to kill my mpg.

I have had my Lariat PB for about 2 weeks now. Driving has been all on 2 lane roads about 60% in town with lots of stop lights and 40% a 7 mile 2 lane stretch from work to my home. All miles are with the air conditioning on. I have 519 miles on truck and my average mph is 22.9. I do occasionally enjoy the seat of the pants acceleration experience. I am sure that is not contributing to high mph. I am running a combination of 87 octane and 93 octane. If I am to estimate a %, it is probably about 65% 87 octane and 35% 93.

The Power boost is great in the mountains of Colorado. This is the second half of my first trip with the Powerboost, Gunnison Colorado to Colorado Springs. The first half was in normal mode with no traffic, early morning, I got 22.5 MPG. I was getting almost 25 mpg until I hit Monarch Pass, 11,312 ft, that dropped it clear down to 20.5., then went back to 22.5 coming down off the pass and the rest of the way into Gunnison. Most driving was 65MPH.

On the way back I decided to try Eco mode. I also took a different route back that took me over Monarch Pass and Wilkerson Pass. Average speeds were slower due to heavy traffic. I also passed a few campers and didn't spare the throttle when I did. With all the traffic causing a lot of speeding up and slowing down I would have expected worse results on the return trip. The results were the opposite. It seems with the truck in Eco mode it is much quicker to go into electric drive when coasting downhill or cruising at speed on the level.

As you can see the truck only has 450 miles on it. I topped it off before going on this trip with 90 miles on it. This trip put 360 miles on and it still showing 426 to empty and a little over half a tank remaining. So a projected 686 mile range on this tank. Remember the first half of that was at only 22.5 MPG. So depending how you are driving 700 range is very possible.

I'll be the one to ask...did you really take a picture running 106MPH?

I'm not sure what I'm more impressed with...taking a pic while running over 100MPH or that the truck is only running 2600 RPM's while doing it.

I just got my Powerboost yesterday and I haven't rolled over 100 miles yet...but I'm already sitting over 23 MPG's.

I haven't hit 106, but I have done a couple of wide-open throttle events while being all alone doing 85 in a 75mph road.

It was just a little research of what the truck had available if.....

It would take a very short amount of time to bump 106. The truck is just amazing. And absolutely a calm and composed event.

I was over 80 a few times in the 1½ days I've had it so far trying to pass people that were barely doing 65 until I tried to pass them. It is effortless getting there, though I wouldn't consider trying to take a picture.
