I *think* Eco mode doesn't have any impact on how it selects when to shut off the engine and go electric to get you better MPG's, I think all it does is prevent you from flooring it on take offs. That's all it does in my wife's car, and it appears to be the only effect in the powerboost. I don't notice any difference in MPG, as one that doesn't floor it anyway.

May I ask a dumb question - a number of people talk about Normal and Eco mode. How does one select the Eco mode? I got 21 mpg over a 1200 miles trip (with some amount of mountain driving), but I did not select any mode etc. I looked but I got something showing eco behavior, etc. but nothing that seemed like an Eco mode selector....

I have a 4x4 PB with 6.5’ box...
There's a knob in the middle of your 4x4 selector buttons. Give it a spin to see the drive modes.

The mpg that you are quoting are based on the US gallons. 10.4 L/100 km or US 22.6 mpg or 27 imp mpg. Not bad at all.

All based on US gallons. Those L/100 km, translate into the posted US gallons achieved.
I don't follow the imperial mileage though it shows greater numbers.

My fuel economy has slowly been improving as I put more miles on the truck. Here is an hour of mixed highway and city driving today (91 octane)

Here’s my overall mileage for the last 1400 miles. So far very pleased. Last fill up was showing 700+ miles to E.

Showoff! a little math shows you averaged 28 mph (1,405 miles/50 hours), so I'd bet the folks behind you had a few choice words while you hypermiled.

I’ve got about 1400 miles on my Stock 502a 4x4 powerboost and here some of my MPG achievements and observations running 83 octane.

my total Average on Trip 1 which hasn’t been reset is 20MPG over the course of 1400 miles, driving like a granny and like a teenager at times.

there is a 30 mile route that I’ve taken multiple times going to work, on this route I average 24.3 MPG there and back. This stretch of road there are many stop lights and average MPH is 45. This seems to be the ideal driving scenario for MY Powerboost.

On a mostly highway route I’m usually averaging around 20-21 driving 70-75MPH.

HOWEVER my last trip from Houston to Corpus Christi I was driving in a pretty stiff cross wind/ headwind which was blowing at 25-28MPH for the majority of the trip. In this condition traveling at 75MPH I was getting 17.4MPG

there are many variables why MPG is different from driver to driver, and it’s hard to compare.

with that said, I am extremely happy with my truck so far minus the rust :ROFLMAO:

not sure that accurate math, pretty sure the timer is still running when idle

Hwy only mileage eco mode.

This was just under 160 km's or 100 miles, cruise set at 120 km/hr or 75 mph. Never slowed down once off of the set point or time on the clock. 91 octane,

I am throwing off the fuelly tracking for Powerboosts in my area completely! I have done 3 fillups, and I didn't join fuelly until after my 1st one. The next 2 have both involved a lot of towing miles, plus a little generator usage!

Ford F-150 What kind of MPG mileage are you getting with your Powerboost? 1619658827140

This is Powerboosts within 500 miles of me. That 13MPG data point is me, unfortunately!

Non-towing I am generally getting 20-24MPG, some trips are as high as 30, some are under 20.

Cool thing is that these '21s now track MPG for each trailer, so I can always go to that screen and grab the miles and MPG, and do a little algebra to figure out my non-towing lifetime average when/if I ever want.

Finally corrected the tire size in the computer a few days back. At 50 and under, using GPS speed app, it seems on point. But, I really need to get it on the highway and put in a long straight even 70 or more to verify the setting is correct. GPS odometer and my odometer differ, but I think that is to be expected and is less accurate than the GPS speed. In any case, the MPG has jumped up considerably. I'm halfway through a tank, so average is still in the 15's, but my trip by trip mileage does seem to be picking up since the change.

That math on speed is questionable at best. The time clock keeps running every stop sign and light, not to mention drive thru line and grocery pickup. 85% of my driving is city, with lots of stop and go and 55-35 zones.

As a point of proof my wife’s suv with 70k shows a lifetime average speed of 32mph. It’s seen trips up and down the coast at 75+ mph.

Been yelled at a few time for driving too fast, this is first of being accused of driving like a snail.

I had similar results but it all changes when you get to hills.

Forsure, the best I ever got in my 2018 5.0 with a 3:31 rear end was 12.4 L/100km or 18.96 mpg at 120 kms so that is a good improvement.
