NOTE* you have the tow mirrors which will reduce your MPG's a little, I don't imagine they would make more than a .25-0.5 MPG difference at freeway speeds.
I have tow mirrors and thought that may be why I get so bad freeway MPG compared to my old truck, so I tried this experiment. I can powerfold my tow mirrors to make them as little wind resistance as possible.

I did 2 minute averaging on flat interstate at 74mph. The first run I got a difference of about 1mpg!! But I repeated about 10 times and found that it was in the margin of error. There actually was no noticeable difference folded or normal position.

I obviously couldn't compare to regular mirrors but I figured the folded position was as good if not better.

The easiest thing to do is make sure your tires are properly inflated. Under inflated tires can make you lose 10% or more of your fuel economy which when you're supposed to get 23-24, 2.4mpg is fairly significant.

I’m getting 22mpg
Wife gets 18mpg lol

I tried to teach her hybrid driving techniques but was told “I know how to drive a car”…..
Typical. Anytime I drive my wife’s car I get about 20% better gas mileage. I just stopped pointing it out to her because I get the same answer

For my new truck, 502A PowerBoost Max Tow FX4, I topped the tank off this morning; odometer is reading 503.0 miles. The fuel gauge monitored "Full" and there were 58 miles on the truck when I bought it on Monday. So far I have put 7.119, 7.049, and 7.564 gallons of gas in the truck.
(503-58)/(7.119+7.049+7.564)=20.5mpg

Why are you topping it off so often?

Round trips to particular destinations and trying to stay ahead of the gas price inflation curve.

I taught my wife to drive a clutch (There were dark ages you know). I'll never remark on her driving skills... I have noted she's a leadfoot... She definitely drives in the speed lmit plus 10 world...

My first tank I got 23.8 MPG with my 302A XLT Powerboost.

The dealer said it ran a while around the lot while they were prepping it so probably could have been a little higher. See how tank 2 goes.

F150 Supercrew 502A 6.5 bed FX4, max tow, and moon roof. Live in central IL. I’m currently averaging 19.5-20.5 mpg per tank. Mix city and highway driving. Occasionally pulling a boat on the weekends. I do have a stretch on my way from the gym to work where I’ll average 26-28.5mpg running 45-50mph during that.

Done trips to central FL and Ky (3 times) Both instances running 77-80 I was averaging around 19-21. My 21 F150 max tow eco boost was only averaging 16.5-17 for the same KY trip route.

pulling our 14 enclosed anchor (I mean trailer). And she gets around 10. But she pulls it at 80 like a dream. Roughly the same mpgs as my 21. But the longer WB on my 22 handles the trailer a lot better. I do wish it had the 36 gal tank for that , but it is what it is.
