I'm averaging 22.4mpg, which I'm pretty happy with. Any trip longer than 5 or 10 miles, I'm averaging 25mpg or better. What brings me down are all the short trips (less than 3 miles round trip) to drop kids off at school or run to Home Depot. Those trips are almost 100% gas and charging the batteries. By the time I get home the batteries are charged enough to back into the driveway on electric, woo! If this was a plug-in hybrid where I could keep the batteries topped off at night, I'm sure I'd be north of 25mpg.

I’m at 550 miles on my first tank, with 150 miles to go. Dash shows I’ve averaged 21.6 MPG so far (sometimes a bit higher). I’m happy with that, the way I drive.

I don’t do the speed limit often, if at all, usually just leaving it in the regular driving mode.

This 25.9 mpg was the drive back from lunch to the house today and the best I've gotten on any trip. It was closer to only 20mpg on the way there due to a cold engine. This route included roads that had speed limits of 30, 40, and 45 mph. And this is with 60lb LT285/60r20s. Trip 1 for the current tank is around 20.5 and so is the lifetime Trip 2 as well.

Does this fuel economy screen represent lifetime fuel economy or an algorithm over a few hundred recent miles (kinda like distance to empty calculation)? I have never reset this screen and wondering if I can take that to mean lifetime average?

I'm not sure what the computer does for sure. The trips seem to because it keeps the total electric miles. But I've never reset the main screen either and it's dropped over 2 mpg in less than 500 miles. That leads me to think it's a rolling 1,000 miles, or something like that.

When I have three different numbers for This Trip, Trip 1, and Trip 2, the average has always matched Trip 2. I've kept Trip 2 as lifetime. I'm only at 1500 miles, so ymmv.

I agree I believe its lifetime. I use my trips in a similar fashion.

Love the 03/04 cobra gauge cluster. I have a 04 mystichrome cobra!
I had a FRPS go out at 140+ on my 03 Cobra. Nothing like all of the power going out on your car when doing a top speed run. It happened so often, I carried a few of them with me at all times lol.

That screen is since YOU reset it. Hold 'OK' to reset the economy.

I do Trip 1 for each tank. If I go on a road trip I reset it at the beginning of the trip just to get an average. Very useful when towing even though the truck will tell me my fuel economy for each trailer I tow (if you set that up).
Trip 2 for each oil change

Average gets reset every tank, too.

Gauge was about 4 MPG high and i got 16.4. Already had an engine scare with just under 1k miles. Pulled out of my driveway and couldn’t go over 12 mph with a “stop engine now” light on. I think it was from being real low on fuel and being on a steep driveway because I let it sit for a few minutes and the light shut off.
