That's not a typical ball joint. :)

They don't last as long as a ball joint, necessarily, but really nice articulation. A bit pricey for replacement.

This is why I need a truck! I know this is a Ford forum, but I would love a suburban, expedition, or whatever that could tow and have lots of secure cargo capacity without 3rd row seating. No topper, tonneau cover… ”If wishes were fishes, we’d all swim in riches.”

Nothing wrong with a Mach-E, but it is not a Mustang. The customer base is WILDLY different, and it does not belong under the Mustang branding umbrella. Mustang is not a lifestyle car. Biggest marketing miss of the decade imo. The social media backlash is still strong 2-3 years later. The Bronco Sport is trailing not too far back….but at least the Mach-e is cooler than the Bronco sport :ROFLMAO:. Both are marketing misses though.

If I was going to buy a vehicle on the Escape platform, it would be the Maverick Hybrid first.
The Bronco Sport, if it was available with the Hybrid drivetrain, would be a fairly close second.

But I agree on the sloppy marketing.
The Mach-E could have been just a Mach-E, and it would have caused far less fuss.

i looked at a bronco sport....i am 6 foot 3 and i could not get the seat far enough back to be comfy

but i tooooo thought it would be perfect for my grand daughter, get her up high to see and small enough to park easy.

mach E could have been called anything but a mustang.......i am no marketing person but mach e mustang was dumb dumb dumb.

now a dark horse is a mustang is the kitties paw for affordable zoom zoom zoom for 2
i drive by one each time i go to the grocery, she calls at me from the showroom window...i swear she winks. wife tells me, no more midlife crisisiesisisisissss :love: :eek:

I agree, calling the mach-e a 'mustang' is off. It's not that slow.
Maybe it fits for the RWD one, but 630ftlbs of AWD torque doesn't leave much competition around these parts. So far the only thing to upset it was an AWD lambo. Given the number of times I've been asked "what is that", I've come to the conclusion that "electric mustang" is what people can comprehend. It really simplifies the Q&A session.

MotorTrend got 3.7 seconds 0-60 with the latest 5.0 Dark Horse w/ 10R80. I don’t need any more speed than 3.7 seconds, that’s back braking acceleration as it is. In fact, I’d be in heaven if I could own one. Once they crack the ECU and E-85 tune it’ll be a 3.5 second machine with no modifications.

The braking was also superior to the Porsche 911. This is a serious machine if I ever done seen one.

On a prepped track. On the street where they're encountered it's 4.x seconds. Can't wait to encounter one with the PB. To be fair I was running around in a blown cobra when you were running around in diapers - I know the competitors, I've owned many. The mach-e handles like it's on rails between AWD and some awesome torque vectoring dynamics combined with the magneride.

The MME is a great beater. Get in and go, no warm up needed. Mash the throttle and sub 4 second 0-60 every time. No fuss, no noise, no special launching technique. Hammer down and you're immediately to any legal speed every. single. time. The simplicity of its operation is a unique beauty unto itself. It's a level of performance that bests just about everything that's worn the name.

It’s important that the other driver knows he’s in a race ;). Good luck, those Pirellis hook right up and are sticky as gum. This isn’t a GT. Same reason this car brakes hard enough to rip the skin off your face.
