What happened to “Trailer Hitching Assistance,” as described on page 439 of the owners’ manual? I can’t find mention of it in the forum. Who has it? Tow tech package? Certain trim levels? Was it just quietly never implemented at all?

It's just the hitch view that bends the line as you backed up. Works great.

no, it’s not, that’s the point. Or maybe it turned into that but if you read the description it is more active. Also shown in videos online. I think they just couldn’t get it done in time, similar to the trailer TPMS/backup camera fiasco. Just wondered if anybody actually has it.

At least the description in the owners’ manual is quite different than just indicating that there is a bendy line. I pushed the button and It didn’t do anything. Just wondering if I simply lack the feature but then I noticed that I couldn’t find that term anywhere in the forum.Maybe I’m missing something.

I'm gonna go for this one.

Found THIS ARTICLE talking about it as a future feature, from September.

Current video just shows the guide line.

My guess is it was supposed to be on the gen14s, but couldn't make it.

The article posted above mentioned its being developed for future F-150s, never mentioning that it is a feature on current trucks.

Strange the manual makes mention to a feature that isn't in the truck... maybe a future OTA update?

Not sure what you’re talking about but page 439 in my paper manual talks about crash and breakdown information.

I have an assist where the camera zooms in on the receiver hitch and provides the “bendy lines” to guide you to the trailer. Works great. Might be in the 360 camera package?

It's in the second version on PDF.

Wow, just looked it up. Don’t know why they would go to that contraption when the system included in the tow package works great.

I feel like a few us might be talking about different things.
Yes, because some aren't is looking at what OP is asking about from the manual:

Early '21 model year trucks came with the sensor module. It was dropped because of the chip issue and Ford reverted to the old sticker method that was used in previous model years. I think '21 build 2 got the stickers but I don't know if Ford is still providing them. They were inside some brochure in the glovebox. I got the sticker system with my 2019 502A Lariat and set it up on my travel trailer. I tried it once and remember that it worked, but I don't remember the details three years later. I never used it again because it was much easier to just use the lines to guide myself back to my trailer hitch.
