I read the other threads and was wondering if you went transfer switch or interlock. Omitting the negative prong was frowned upon (due to the bonded neutral stuff that went way over my head) however it looks like your solution is a jumper to a ground rod? Can you elaborate like you’re talking to a 5 year old? 😂 and any pics would be MUCH appreciated!
If you value your family’s lives and your property you will not eliminate the ground wire from the truck! its More expensive to buy the neutral switching transfer switch but it is always better to install electrical systems with the correct equipment.

I missed posting, but last weekend I passed 1 year since I drove it home. Had just under 12.5k miles in that year. Probably going to be similar in year 2 for mileage. Still enjoying it. Truck definitely needs a bath though, and our lack of rain here isn't helping.

Hi, I am a newbie, It's my first post here.

I recently picked up this Certified 2018 F150 to replace my old 2001 Ranger. It is an XLT with 302a package, 2.7, Nav, and towing package.
At first, the F150 seemed huge compared to the Ranger but it does become more manageable as I get more accustomed to it. It does take up a lot of garage space, though! I could never understand why anyone would want an F150 as a daily driver or commuting vehicle.
I now understand a bit better.

I drove it up (and down) the road to Pikes Peak a few days ago in my '21 F150. When passing through the ranger station, I was advised to lockout the high gears on the way down. I said "but I have hill decent control". Ranger said "That could still overheat the brakes on the way down. Do what you want, but we'll check them & you may have to wait until they cool off." I took the rangers advice and kept the truck in 1st or 2nd gear on the way down the steeper parts. Brakes stayed cool and no timeout for my truck.

Put some expensive ass deer corn in it. Hopefully I can get a nice buck early on and cut back on some baiting.

Still debating on doing this vs a whole house generator. Pros and cons to both. Had to run extension cords again today due to losing power for several hours.
Automatic standby generator hands down if you plan on staying there long term and lose power fairly often. Otherwise I’d go with the portable gen or PB option.

Drove it at night for the first time in many months, at least since March, possibly longer than that.

I Mentioned that to the wife a week or so ago coming home one night, jezz, this is probably the first time we've driven at night in it. Also, these headlights are terrible lol

First time towing the boat, hoping to get on some snakehead and catfish.

Installed cooler bed rack/lock. Though it was tough to drill a hole in the bed. Nice heavy duty setup and the stainless portions are easily removable if I need the space.

I know they make one for a yeti. It's a really nice setup. Check out their install instructions for a better idea of what you can do with it. https://www.apexcoolers.com/

Edit: I see you're in Texas. They are out of Argyle, TX.
