I just finished a 3,564 mile round trip to Phoenix to spend Christmas with my family. I took the southern route through Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico. Three days driving there (around 8.5 hours each day) and three back.

Through an ice storm (I saw four semis that had slid into ditches)

To the opening weekend of Buc-ee's in Amarillo (this place is so cool).

Back through the desolation of New Mexico. (I squished a tumbleweed under the truck on the highway. That tumbleweed clearly had it coming!)

And back again

I love this truck so much. What an amazing vehicle, especially for road trips. I just had to share. A trip this long in any other vehicle would have been torture.

This was the second time I pulled someone out from being stuck in the snow this winter. This time it was a Jeep 4x4, but more of the SUV type than the off road type. My F150 had no trouble pulling it out even though I was in about as much snow as they were, but I have more clearance.

- Snagged a uhaul trailer for the day, drove down to San Diego, and picked up a new to me toy!

-Also got a new windshield the other day after a squirrel decided to yeet a pinecone at me

A good PNW BC Saturday: paddle in the morning, then a cubic yard of gravel before lunch (two trips of half-yard, which is roughly 1400-1500 lbs; it's cool to see the truck squat as the bobcat pours the gravel in, haha!)

I also really like the Adarac system - 8 bolts and the racks are off in about 5 min (if it wasn't so early and I wasn't so caring about my neighbors, lol, I'd use a cordless driver and I think I could get them off in about 2 min)

Love the Jimmy Herring pic!! I graduated in 95 from The Citadel, and Widespread Panic was what we "grew up" on. I got close to 80 shows under my belt, but havent seen them in forever. Wife, kids, life kind of changes things up

I lived in Athens from 92-2000. UGA class of 1996. We got St. Auggie shows next weekend!!!

The live streams from Atlantic City last month were killer.

Also got tix for all three shows at Red Rocks in June

Oh yeah, Red Rocks shows are always amazing!. Red Rocks, Oak Mountain, Halloween, and New Years are always a treat. Crazy enough, one of the better shows Ive been to was with George McConnell in Macon. He catches alot of heat, but WOW, what a great show! Down on the Farm, Dirty Business, Daisy Mae.....it was fantastic!

First tow with my new 2.7 truck. Did really well, stable cruising at 65-70, didn't feel like I needed any more power, and got about 14mpg which I think is pretty fair. Granted it was fairly short and ran into a bit of stop and go traffic, on a longer highway stint I could probably eek out a little better mileage. Tow haul mode also did great and the transmission seemed a lot smoother with a few thousand pounds behind it.

Towed the new Rzr out to the desert, slept in the tent, raced a buddies Can Am in a 150 mile off road race, came home!

Yesterday, Toppy and I went down to Coleraine Field & Game in SW Victoria, camped the night and shot the 100 target sporting clays today. On the way home, stopped for a photo op in front of Mt. Sturgeon @ Dunkeld

Took the F150, Rzr, and 50 camping with my girlfriend and our pup. What was supposed to be a 2 night trip turned Into a frantic drive home to the emergency pet surgeon. Our sweet boy woke up totally fine and In an Instant his stomach twisted. Emergency surgery done, now up all night waiting for a call hoping he starts recovering. Fingers crossed, and hopefully I can find some more overtime for the bill.
