What did you do WITH your F-150 today?

Traded my 2021 XLT for a Ram. First time in 40 years not owning a Ford. 14 F150’s. I just couldn’t take the fact neither Ford nor the dealership could fix my problems and were absolutely rude and uncaring. If the Ram doesn’t meet my expectations I guess I’ll try GMC. I used to buy a new Ford every 3 years-easy sale I can’t believe they didn’t try to keep my business. Got a screaming deal on the Ram so I hope I’m still happy in a couple of months. Time will tell.

The Ram does look like a nice truck. If they had the Hurricane TT-16 in them when I was shopping, I could very well be driving a Ram today instead of my F150. (I like the low end grunt of the twin turbos)

Crazy they wouldn't have stepped up. Can't say I blame you for making the move. You mentioned you might try GMC if the Ram doesn't work out. Is the Tundra not a contender?

I think a Tundra could be a possibility. After this last experience with Ford I’m placing more faith in the dealership than in the past. I know the dealer principal at the Ram dealership so that’s why I thought I’d give the Ram a try.

Finally got out of the hot humid state of FL to some cooler weather up in GA this week and it is great to see some leaves changing colors. Stopped at Indian Springs for a couple nights. They filmed some of Stranger Things here in the Jackson area. We'll move to another campground closer to Athens to see the Dawgs play this weekend.

Finally got out of the hot humid state of FL to some cooler weather up in GA this week and it is great to see some leaves changing colors.

Very nice! We're taking the truck up to a cabin in GA for Thanksgiving week. I'm excited to drive somewhere farther than an hour or so, and to have a vehicle large enough for my wife, 3 dogs, and all our stuff.

Years past, we had to rent a large SUV, as my Ranger wasn't large enough for everyone, and all our stuff.

I carried water to my trees. We’re having a heck of a drought here. Then this afternoon I tested the PPOB and plugged into the house. If I load manage it runs everything including emergency heat. But not enough juice to kick that AC or Heat on. Still it was a good test and good learning.

Got the fuck out of Florida for a few days and drove to a cabin in Georgia.

My FL ass isn’t used to tight mountain roads. I know I pissed off a local or two driving slow, but I’m used to alligators, not death plunges off a mountain road.

It was a great drive and the truck handled it perfectly, and I managed 23mpg over ~600 miles

I learned to drive with a manual transmission in the north Georgia mountains. My Louisiana wife does NOT like my mountain driving.
I really miss my mountains. It looks like both of my sons will end up in Oklahoma- very nice, but not much in the way of mountains.
