Hauled some block, a cube at a time. Somewhere around 3400- pounds in the bed. Only went about 200- yards to the next site. Handled her just fine. Had just pulled out the masons 1- ton buried Chebby too when he tried to get a load lol.

Parallel parked it, without the use of the built in system, truck in front and car behind, both almost on the line.

Pretty cool... Was just thinking today about how it would be nice if my truck had Park Assist, just to play with it once-in-a-while.

Also, just noticed your dash top looks black. You have Sport package, no?

It's just the lighting. It's the same reddish brown of other sport package trucks.

Powered the tailgate at this years Brawl of the Wild (with ESPN Game Day coming to our neck of the woods too). Impressive how little gas was used running the power for over six hours.

Brrrrrr for tent weather.
(I'm a tropical winter sissy)
By that point it had warmed up to a balmy 10 degrees. ;)

Subzero temps for the start of Game Day in the dark were a different story.

Pulled my son's tractor out of the mud.

That sounds a little more dramatic than it is. He has a compact sized JD which he uses to cut his "meadow" and an area along the road. He got too close to the edge of the pond he shares with his neighbor. His tractor doesn't have the "cleated" tire that agricultural tractors. The cleats are broad and flat.

Got too close to the edge of the pond on his last cur. Tractor got stuck in the thick, heavy mud. Couldn't go forward or backward.

Hooked up the nylon tow rope, put the truck in 4x4 Low. Assisted by the tractor which also has 4x4, eased it up out of the muck.

I put the tow rope away, and drove back home in time to watch the beginning of the Michigan-Ohio State football game.

No pictures, but used it to jump start a truck at work today. Second vehicle I've jump started with my truck this year.

One item that always annoys me with jump starting is going up the cables. Every instruction set I've seen says to avoid connecting the negative directly to the battery negative post and attach it to body ground instead. Some instructions say for both vehicles, some only one, but it's the safer way. Yet, almost no vehicle has a convenient body ground clamp spot near the battery. How hard would it be for manufactures to offer a larger, unpainted bolt right by the battery that's connected to body ground?

Put on the tailgate pad (which was purchased exactly 15min after leaving the dealer lot, lol) and went mtn biking with my wife and pup. Folded up the back seats so she had plenty of room to lie down (the pup, not my wife).

Bikes fit quite nicely but the Raceface T2 still doesn’t seem QUITE long enough for this tailgate (and the reviews made it sound like it fit the thickest). Will have to finangle with it some more.

Nice pair of whips you have there.

I have the previous iteration of that pad, and it definitely doesn't fit fat tailgates as well. I had hopes for this one, but would love to see how much gap it has on yours.

Also, do yourself a favor and spray some 303 protectant on the downtube straps and the straps that hold those straps. UV and wear and tear has eaten through all but 2 of my mine, and it rarely sits on the truck unless I'm hauling bikes.

Awesome thanks for the advice!

I’m already feeling like there’s some pretty big strain on those straps, so I need to wrangle the pad around a bit more.
