You have any additional info on doing numbers 3&4? Been looking at adding front parking sensors and rain sensing wipers to my 500A.

3. Installed front bumper parking sensors and cruise control module.

4. Installed rain sensing wiper capability

Wait, does adding a camper count as 'to' or 'with' your F150? πŸ˜‚

I test fit my old camper to the new truck as we hit above 35 out! I previoudly had this on my 2006 Tundra, so the old school camper matched the old school truck well. On the F150...not so much. I'm going to wrap the camper to give it a little refresh in the Spring though.

Overall it fits pretty good. I need about 1/2 more clearance over the bed rails but that should be an easy fix. I'm just going to attached a board to the bottom of the camper to give it a little more height.

No airbags installed yet either, but the truck hanldes the 900lb camper no prob as-is! I do a decent amount of off-road trails and fireroads and the airbags add a little extra sway support.

Anyways...test fit number 1!

Reset my transmission adaptive tables, enabled the 75th anniversary boot screen and Unreal Engine on Sync, then turned on auto-relock for doors and shortened the BCM power timeout.

I appreciate it. Now to save some money. Haha
We wish you luck lol. Maybe put your credit card in the freezer to avoid any impulsive purchases... not that doing that ever stopped me.

It counts as to and with! Two birds, one stone. Also great setup, got any trips planned?

Thanks! I’m Wisconsin based but usually do two to four trips out to California for work where I’ll drive, I think my next is April. More local options I spend a lot of time in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on Lake Superior which is always beautiful. Outside of that late summer I want to spend an extended time in the Dakotas. I guess we’ll just see where work takes me this year! I have the luxury of driving as an option sometimes and always wrap an overland trip into the mix if I can!

Looks good! Does the tailgate close OK?
thanks! No actually. I was pretty bummed but the camper is 1 1/2 inches to long to close the gate.
Looking into backup camera options now that won’t break the bank.

Well darn, but IMO a small price to pay for a camper that's proven to serve you well. So 'yank' that tailgate and I'm sure you'll find a suitable backup cam solution.

Happy camping!

(BTW, IMO a 'wrap' is totally unnecessary for this obviously practical and perfectly fine looking camper that's gracefully showing its age and experience; a wrap's likely not nearly as robust as that OE camper finish when you get into the 'bushes' and probably will look like heck if it gets snagged)

Lake Superior is beautiful! Hopefully you get to go somewhere you haven't been yet. For me, I'd love to see the grand canyon one day and the redwoods up in California.

Put the Graphene on last night, one word of caution. After washing it the water that dried on the hood left some water spots. I have a few spots nicely sealed below the Graphene now that I presumably have to look at for the next 6 months or so…dry it with a towel. Other than that was easy and beads up water very well!
