Finally got around to picking up the splash guards & wheel well liners this morning.

The integrated trailer brake controller was installed last week ( part of the sale ).
only other thing I’ve had done is the windshield (non) tint and front door glass tinting.
Still have to get the rear glass and rear door glass done.
Will probably order the Peragon cover next week.

Front WeatherTech Mudflap

My Bakflip MX4, has been on three F-150s now. I bought some replacement wear/tear parts for it before reinstalling this time around, mainly on the pads and that on it in different spots that were starting to come off.

Rear corner shot showing mudflap and I added the raised emblem inlay, although I have been unsure on these. I had just black on my 2019, but either the increased size of the F-150 or the red outline I did this time, just seems like a lot. I thought it would fit well with the FX4 and tail light theme. I think it will grow on me.

Back of seat covers, also from WeatherTech. My 4 year old was really hard on the back of my 2019 seat, even cleaning it I could tell it was not great for the seats. I think these are fantastic though.

Passenger side, same covers, just a bit closer look. My 6 year old sits here and doesn't mess up the seat, but I wanted it the same on both sides and like the storage option.

My ARB recovery stuff in one of the bed boxes, nice to get this stuff out of the cab, so much more room for activities.

It does look nice. I basically just took it around the block when I was done so not to much to review yet. I can actually hear the turbos a little now and some induction noise. I’m guessing it’ll take a few cycles for the truck to learn before I notice any gains, if I even do at all. Overall a quality part with a proven name so should be good.

Another week of no PPF or ceramic coating, that means another wash!


Up at the crack of dawn, or maybe I just stayed up from a night shift and powered through... Who knows?

After I built up a coat or three of my preferred 3M Performance Finish wax over the past few washes, I've been continuing to build it up and preserve it by using some Chemical Guys HydroSpeed Ceramic Detailer.

I went HEAVY in typical Knickell fashion. I used nearly a whole bottle a couple weeks ago, and bought up a 64oz jug to refill my spray bottle this time around. Used nearly another 16 ounce bottle's worth of the stuff today. Got the whole body, all doors, hood, and tailgate jambs, the muffler tip, and wheels. The verdict is still out for how long it will last in the elements, but I am very impressed so far. It really deepens and glosses the paint even more than my wax. I am considering just using this stuff in place of wax in the future.

A week or so ago, I also installed my new short antenna. This is the one I used:

After with the low profile antenna.

Impressed with the antenna so far. Not really any discernible difference in AM/FM radio quality in my area. I was worried, because I'm on the outskirts of the listening area for a few FM stations I really like, and it still picks them up just fine!

Added a Truck Gear LXP/MX4 tonneau cover. Had one on my Tacoma and liked it I also like the lifetime end to end warranty. I'm super happy the tailgate opens and closes without having to open the cover.
